And for the people who never got through Clannad, I can understand. I was myself very frustrated with season 1. I ragequit the last episode of that season if I remember well. So I agree, it's kind of hard to survive through the beginning, especially since it starts with Fuko arc...
And about Eureka Seven : I've had very bad experiences with mecha shows. So far, Code Geass, all the Gundam I've watched and FMP (excluding Fumoffu. Fumoffu was awesome) all disappointed me... So, while I can't say anything about it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy it.

You are right, I've never watched K-ON and probably won't want to if its worst than clannad in the moe department.

School Days is an anime you can't un-watch after watching.

Personally for me i had a complete package, good story/plot, good soundtrack including OP/ED. Good animation(?), i love the characters, and it was just straight up entertaining on top.

haven't watched the death note anime but did enjoy reading the manga a good bit. have watched some of 1kidsentertainments abridged version of it for fun though, and partly just to see how the anime looks I guess.
and someone brought up top 5 favorite anime while I was timing this, not sure but some favorites.
read or die evangelion gundam wing hellsing fullmetal alchemist (last two I suppose I like the manga based portion a little better, but both great , meaning the ovas adn brotherhood)
finished gurren lagann earlier asnd it was great. Have to say liked going through an episode at a time.
some random nonsense that popped into my head or otherwise found funny while watching it. + Show Spoiler +little disappointed they weren't really full on galaxies, but to be expected I guess. (remember hearing galaxies like shurikens somewhere, it happened but they were tiny for galaxies)
probabability alteration, oh my, such a nonsense concept I love it. ahhahaha infinity big bang storm! burn in the everlasting hellfire of creation
something about humans/mankind ,oh yes were are. post tengen toppa lagann pods? something about gods or is he?
older rossiu looking so much like the other guy
also finished hachirasu a bit ago , perhaps not the best vn to start with given the lack of choice, ah well, the endings roughly maybe not spoiler worthy. + Show Spoiler + do nothing see main ending, walk into sunset, couple ways to rush to your death.
more random nonsense I found amusing, while reading it. I'm sure there's more didn't end up saving. + Show Spoiler +unwilling to recognize as a member of the same sex
while others still were searching for a place to die.
Igarasu fear of kettles, main "villian" is scared of kettles.
"I'm not gloomy" Igarasu mutters dejectedly to himself once he's all alone.
an old acquantance is there.
too much music not enough rain
Akane grins what kind of solicitor takes no for an answer.
done I'll pay you a hundred ten if you let me kill you.
its not a god damn trampoline
Akane did that for a month wtf, doesn't seen like something he would do. (might just been mess up in translation?, where he was at start of the tale)
Akane such a narcissistic bastard.
he has essentially surrendered go-no-sen to a pistol.
and so the mad blacksmith, mujiwara itsurin Misuaki ., passed out of Tokyo and out of this tale.
and the ending, feels very stereotypical samurai ending sort of, also everybody dies pretty much.
any vn with a somewhat similar setting.
should really stop doing this and try to post more regularly instead.

What the hell is the problem that people have with Clannad? It's not a super moeblob show. And it's pretty funny.
Other than the disaster that was eps 17 and 18, and I didn't really like Nagisa's arc, the show was a hilarious slice of life romcom.

The problem I have with her arc, is that it was like six eps. And Tomoyo's arc had to suffer

To give Eureka Seven credit, it had a greater focus on character development than most of the Animes I've watched (omg Katanagatari <333333), though Renton still pissed the crap out of me.
Otherwise, I felt the story was really brilliant and had a lot of depth to it, and the action wasn't too shabby either.
But for some reason, Bounen no Xam'd sticks in my memory as a better Mecha....even though I know that generally that's not true.
Maybe it was because Nakiami was soooooooooo amazing. <3

Woah, totally forgot to recommend Samurai Champloo. Check it out, damn the music was sick.

I'm sick of seeing/hearing/whatever. Unshou Ishizuka as a villain, I don't care how well of a job he does as the douchebag military/ranked-official/insert random cliche villain role here. It completely ruined the little bit of hope I had in what I thought was a decent Naruto movie because they actually killed someone with value and I believed it like the sucker I am. aaaggh all I have left until spring is keroro gunsou...which isn't a BAD thing but too much of it causes the humor to fade, considering there is 200+ episodes or so of them + Show Spoiler [oh jeez its not a spoiler.] +NEVER ACTUALLY INVADING EARTH FOR THE SAKE OF THE GAGS but I enjoy it just the same.
And the only thing I have to stem my Wakamoto fetish is Dragon Ball Kai, and that does nothing except Gohan got SSJ2 so I got a little excite when I saw that bird.
Ah that bird, was so random but when I saw it i was like 'this just got real its a freaking bird'

These are some of the best anime I've seen so far. This is anime that I wouldn't mind keeping in a safe to re-watch them years later. I'm pretty sure my list will only grow since there's A LOT of anime I haven't watched yet. + Show Spoiler + * Lovely Complex (best romance/comedy so far) * Death Note (best anime overall so far) * Code Geass * Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom * Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 * Blood+ (best vampire anime so far) * Black Lagoon * Welcome to the NHK * Winter Sonata (best drama/romance so far) * Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin * Ergo Proxy * Nodame Cantabile (best musical/romance so far) * Rurouni Kenshin (best samurai anime ever hands down, even though it was made +12yrs ago. Props to the creator.)
