And about Eureka Seven : I've had very bad experiences with mecha shows. So far, Code Geass, all the Gundam I've watched and FMP (excluding Fumoffu. Fumoffu was awesome) all disappointed me... So, while I can't say anything about it, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy it.

Eureka Seven is more then just mecha, its like a tool used to help develop the story and the characters, through struggles of life,war, religion, love, relationships and other stuff like finding your way in life. Personally for me i had a complete package, good story/plot, good soundtrack including OP/ED. Good animation(?), i love the characters, and it was just straight up entertaining on top.

You have to watch Clannad just to get to Clannad: After Story. Without After Story Clannad wouldn't make it into my top 50. Well, maybe it would, but that's what I'm saying.

haven't watched the death note anime but did enjoy reading the manga a good bit. have watched some of 1kidsentertainments abridged version of it for fun though, and partly just to see how the anime looks I guess.

Other than the disaster that was eps 17 and 18, and I didn't really like Nagisa's arc, the show was a hilarious slice of life romcom.

To give Eureka Seven credit, it had a greater focus on character development than most of the Animes I've watched (omg Katanagatari <333333), though Renton still pissed the crap out of me.
Otherwise, I felt the story was really brilliant and had a lot of depth to it, and the action wasn't too shabby either.
But for some reason, Bounen no Xam'd sticks in my memory as a better Mecha....even though I know that generally that's not true.
Maybe it was because Nakiami was soooooooooo amazing. <3

I'm sick of seeing/hearing/whatever. Unshou Ishizuka as a villain, I don't care how well of a job he does as the douchebag military/ranked-official/insert random cliche villain role here. Is safe to say I'm not a moe and fantasy anime fan. There are exceptions but as a general rule NO.
