This season's OPM doesn't really grip me, either. I'm a couple episodes behind atm. I miss the awesomeness of the animation. It also doesn't help that it is currently in its weakest stretch of the story... oh well The new Shinkai doesn't excite me very much. Lets see if he goes back to his old style but from the trailer it doesn't look like it. If anything, he brings more and more of the usual facial expressions into his work... In one scene I thought I was watching a trailer of Re  ero s2 (with admittedly good animation). Speaking of which, I'm probably not going to watch s2. I still remember the pain of forcing myself through s1.Wow, this is one negative post. Even for my standards... | ||

Also as for AoT, Season 2 was definitely weaker compared to seasons 1 and 3. Even just the first cour of season 3 is much much better than 2 was. | ||

Everyone was super onboard with just changing religions because that's totally how that works. What I really don't understand is why the queen did absolutely nothing until now. Despite the shadows being hyped up, they did jack shit for the last 20 episodes besides making spooky appearances. Only having one lord you can trust? Tough country. As saccharine as Slime was, at least it knew what it wanted to be. Frankly, I still think the best part of the show was when it was pretending to be Spice and Wolf. Everything in the 2nd cour has been lacking in both plot and animation. Also Fruits Basket gud. | ||

BigFan, I was being facetious. Did you not notice my standout anime? Kimetsu, OPM (to a degree), Shieldbro, and the ending of FT has been good as any really. Kimetsu is easily the best anime this season right behind BSD. | ||

I've been seeing the Church argument pop up places and honestly it's the easiest one to explain. + Show Spoiler + The Church of the Three Heroes worshipped THREE of the heroes. They might have been down with killing the Shield Hero especially with all of the propoganda that framed him, but the Pope was going to kill the other 3 heroes also who the church goers worshipped. Imagine that for a second. The leader of your church was going to kill the very people you prayed to. That's obviously not going to fly with most people, only the most loyal to the pope was gonna be down with that. The fact that the Church also played a part in nearly assassinating the other two princesses probably also made it easy for the average citizen to back off of the church. the Pope went too far. The average citizen was going to easily be able to see that, and even if they had their hesitations the Queen's men were rounding up all of the devoted church faithful that were involved. Does it not make sense that most citizens would say "uhh ok maybe this is some real shit." | ||
