Well, as Bell-kun keeps raising his level and the environment changes so drastically, I can only presume things get dicier: + Show Spoiler +I mean, the last thing I read was when we had Apollo leave the city after losing that battle and in the next volume, we had Ishtar get killed by Freya (returned to heaven or w/e they called it). As more gods get involved then subsequently disappear, I'm sure it'll become that much darker because the city itself is changing and there's no doubt that Freya will eventually make a big move? Tbf, I have no clue how much volumes came out since I last read.
For me, the darkest I read was the whole Ishtar volume. Just remembering the constant struggles, torture or Bell having to face that level 5 character in a battle along with all those level 3 amazons in the red light district. Even years later, I think it's one of the funnest LNs/mangas I've come across. Sadly, I stopped reading because the next volume was meant to be short stories and I was looking for another big arc. Is the LN still as good or even better in volume 9+?

Not sure, it has been a while since I read the chapters and I remember them to be quite choppy. If anything I would have hoped for a smoother adaption but the adaption is just as choppy and they seem to juggle some scenes and invent new places on top of it. Or maybe my memory is off...

It's hard to top the mayor of Houston decked out in Akatsuki garb.

Alright what do I watch since Chihayafuru got pushed. A boy is hungry

Nothing. There's nothing to watch this season.
|
Is this the worst season yet?
|
Shield hero and Kyojin. How can it be worst season lol
|
I have no fucking context for this. Except parliament being serious about something and not discussing brexit. And some sort of subliminal message at the end.
Every season is worst season to Toad. It always need to be saved.

ouch, i guess i might be in bigfan's so called uncool group then, cause i'm watching / enjoying Gunjou no magmell, kenja no mago, kyojin, one punch man and kimetsu no yaiba from this season and i'm still watching shield bro, dororo and karakuri cirus since former seasons (and additionally black clover, fairy tail and one piece, shame on me for being a 33 years old-shounen-kid) :O

It's a running gag and the person who started it hasn't posted in a long while but your answer is actually quite ironic in this case, lol.

sadly I don't have the screenshot anymore of someone quoting skela over the period of... like 8 seasons calling each season worst season.
Also, technically speaking shield hero belongs into last season. We generally count anime towards the season it started airing in and only for that season. Unless it's split-cour, in that case it belongs into both both seasons.
|
Well I decided to not watch any show this season so it is the worst.
|
Hard time starting new shows as well Any of the new ones good? Watching shield hero, OPM, enjoying both! And started on Kimetsu no Yaiba, really good so far. Wish more anime dared to skip time a bit like it did. Also gave up on Dororo, it kinda lost its pace, and I cant stand episodic useless stories, might pick it up later tho....

Isekai Quartet is neat, but the episodes are only 10 minutes long. I watched all 4 shows that it's based on, so I'm fairly biased towards it.
I'm really enjoying Carole & Tuesday since I connect with music-based anime, but it is a Netflix-licensed show so I have to catch fandubs on streaming sites for now.
I ended up dropping Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu. They're cute and wholesome, but I just wasn't in the mood for slow slice-of-life.

Kono Oto Tomare is pretty garbo. Nice music, terrible drama, utter lack of animation. Unfortunate.
Fruits Basket is goooood. My favorite anime of the season for sure.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is pretty standard fare for a grimdark shounen, but it's pretty well executed. Lotta CG, but it's stylized at least.
I love Daiya. It does so many things right for a sports manga/anime. Not wasting effort on garbage time where other works would insist on dragging it out for "tension", showing the struggle of the less talented, the weight of the Ace, etc. It warms my cold heart.
RobiHachi is basically Space Dandy... except with no budget and without the directing/animation superstars. It's kinda meh, but occasionally it hits a great joke. If nothing else, their insert song/sequence is pretty good.
This Shieldbro arc has been awful. + Show Spoiler +What the hell was that last episode? They skimped so much on the animation that the fight was just comical. The actual plot wasn't much better.
I'm starting to suspect that the only reason the birds can transform is so that the author could shoehorn more lolis into the story.

Watching OPM / Yaiba. Enjoying OPM. And not sure if I'm enjoying Yaiba but it's got potential. Overall I guess I'm enjoying it. I think while no masterpiece of writing it's better written than shield bro which makes me enjoy it a bit.
I'm 3 eps behind on shield bro and don't know if I have it in me to continue. I know the writer isn't very talented and it isn't likely to get better but ... MAYBE! It did have a first good episode after all.
Haven't watched Fruits Basket since I watched the first one. I remember liking it pretty well at the time because the MC girl was the most endearing character ever. Glad to hear Fruits Basket is enjoyable though. =/

I dropped the shield hero books around the same point after feeling I gave it a full extra novels chance. Personally think the anime is an improvement on the original.

Senryuu Shoujo is one of the cutest manga I've ever read, the manga only has 12 min episodes though. I don't really like how they did Nanako but Eiji was done pretty much how I pictured in my mind. The comedy is actually pretty funny and is mostly tsukkomi type humor. If you don't want to read the manga it's def my pick this season.
