And no, I haven't watched it. //So why did I wait to watch Mob Psycho ep8 just to watch it now when ep9 still isn't out? What a farce...

I've been told that they will do an alternate ending for the manga or just do something else and continue from there idk, but sounds kind of decent if you like the show.

It got really meh towards the end, I didn't hate the ending as much as I thought I would considering what I knew about it although the introduction of a brand new set of villains in episode 20 out of 24 was fucking stupid and whoever thought that was a good idea was out of his damn mind. But it actually had a conclusive and somewhat satisfying overall ending, much better than some other shows I can think of that Franxx is normally compared with.

+ Show Spoiler + I was both really close on my guess, but also really far away, lol. Claw kid wants to ruin Daddy's plan for...reasons? and wants to recruit people to his side. The next few episodes should be pretty great with all of the different factions vying for control. Looking forward to it!

I couldn't bare the wait and heard reading the manga make the anime better and it actually does. Can definitely recommend keeping up to date in the manga's chapters with the animes episodes, it's easy to know when to stop and there's a lot of small details the anime omits to save time. + Show Spoiler [Major spoilers] + Just made it to the part where they meet the veiled lady. Mama turning out to actually be a good and kind person just trying to make the best of a horrible situation really took me by surprise, took her as just a heartless villian until the reveal. Phil being the biggest (smallest?) badass ever since Guts sort of came out of nowhere and was pretty cool. Emma is fucking more scary than the demons. lol

I caved after watching the first episode and read the entire series that night. The anime tends to follow the Attack on Titan model of pacing, where every episode has to end on a cliffhanger or a super dramatic reveal. For the first episode it works perfectly, but doing it every single episode gets grating, especially when the cliffhangers amounts to nothing. Slightly past Anime spoilers (up to where Jek has read): + Show Spoiler + You can actually see hints about Phil earlier, especially in the last two episodes of the anime. He has been suspicious of the older kids for a while, even before Norman gets shipped off.

I hope it's not going to trash any notion substance season 1 had, like season 2 did.

+ Show Spoiler + I like the way they keep throwing things at us. The way Ray was actually the snitch to Mom or the way they tried to make a deal with the other sister. I have to admit that I disliked Emma at one point, but she's growing on me as a character and she's the reason everyone is able to stay upbeat imo. The first episode showing the death of Conny dang and then trying to keep the secret while deciding on how to escape, but the Mom honestly is so nuts. She didn't hesitate to break Emma's leg, decided to dispose of the other sister and knew exactly when to dump Ray. She was always calm and scheming. The fact that she accepted to use Ray as a snitch then got the other sister to watch him then disposed/stopped all agreements at the right time, what a mastermind... I do have to admit, while I didn't like the other sister at times, you can't help but feel bad for her as well. It's true that her main goal was to become a mom, but then you also realize that she too suffered in this world at one point and seeing as she was never a mom, she never did what Isabella is currently doing. The ending of this last episode, a cliff lol. Like wtf. I mean, if you think about it, it makes sense that they'll protect these livestock since they need them for whatever is being planned but I would've figured there was another adjacent farm and seeing as HQ is there, even if a child jumped over the wall, they'll get caught soon enough. Guess they really needed to prevent this from happening. One of the things I wish the show did better is the world building, more specifically giving us more information on this. I really want to know how this situation came to be. Why is it that some humans work with these monsters? Did these monsters occupy the earth or is this some alien world where they are grown, kinda like the matrix movies?

+ Show Spoiler + Considering everything presented so far, I honestly can't see a way for the kids to escape and survive considering their close proximity to HQ and other farms. Seeing as they can't escape by climbing the wall, only possibility is going through the front gate, but then how? Do they rush it when Norman is escorted away? I've seen some people mention Phil who if I'm not mistaken is that tiny kid. How is he going to help them? Maybe that guy who wrote morse codes in the book will help? Only other option is what the other sister left. That wasn't revealed, but it could be something big. Even if they somehow make it out, if this world is hostile to kids, how are they going to escape for good? So many questions to ask!
