Fiction always does a pretty terrible job of explaining why Schrödinger's cat is even interesting to think about. Boiling it down to "the cat is either dead or alive, yay!" really doesn't do the trick.

I feel like one of those water scales where the number of anime badly explaining this thing finally tipped over and unleashed my rage yeah I've facepalmed quite a bit myself as well over this... it's not so much anime as the authors. And the popular books turn into anime. So there's apparently a large amount of people who, instead of facepalming, read this kind of stuff and think to themselves "ooooh, this is based on science? soooo cooool" or something like that.
I could talk for hours how I think that bunny-senpai is horrible in it's own right even if we ignore that piece of information. But lots of people like the show because the characters are realistic to them or refreshing or whatever else and so I just stand by idly not wanting to be the party pooper.

Maybe it's not that interesting to think about.
Maybe it's just an overplayed trope because most people can't do science?
Also if this is about that bunny girl anime, holy shit that show is balls.

It's ass.

Eh I like Bunny-girl senpai :D. I don't see why it would be worse than all the usual high school setup stuff. I'm still waiting for it to become harem-y to drop it. I feel it can still go that way.
|
Yea and there's no reason why it's better lol
It's literally just as bad as all the usual titles I see flying around. I mean sure, it's not as bad as that stupid sister-con anime this season, but is that really much of an accomplishment
|
It's not like there's a lot of seasonal stuff that's significantly better. We can just stop watching anime altogether, sure. What's much better this season? (personally I'm only interested in standalones because it's been a long time since I've followed a 50+ episode anime, but you can include the sequels too if you want)
(Lol now looking at the chart I realize it's really not a good season...)

Gridman is by far the best non-Jojo anime this season

the problem I have with bunny-girl senpai is just that people marvel at it for brilliant writing and good characters that make sense and I just completly fail to see any of that.
When I see the male MC I don't think to myself "oh what a witty character. He just knows the right things to say in the right moment and has some really good comebacks that make the discussion between him and bunny-girl so entertaining to watch!". Instead I find myself thinking that there's no way in hell a kid would behave like that and rather than it being a smart kid who's good with witty comebacks and whatever I just picture the author, after minutes of thinking, literally putting words into his mouth that neither he nor the MC could have come up with in the spur of the moment. Like some weird desire to be that witty and smart, never surprised or taken aback by anything bunny-girl says but it's just really apparent that it's all fake (to me).
I also fail to see how it makes any sense for him to be so calm and relaxed when put into this situation. Yes I know he also has some kind of past to him but wouldn't that make him freak out to some degree? Idk, this is a minor one and I can very well imagine that later on there's going to be some kind of more in-depth explanation why he's the way he is but it's offputting for me.
People I talk to compared it to OreGairu or Monogatari and asked me "but don't you like all those banter series?" and while yes, it just falls short for me personally. While in OreGairu we do have Hachiman thinking to himself that he's so super smart, better than anyone else etc but then we do see all the fails, the moments when he's panicking in his mind because he said/did something awkward etc which makes him all the more real to me as a character. That's something that Wataru Watari really excels at imo. I've already mentioned this a ton of times but similarly I really liked the 3-4 episodes in Girlish Number that focused on the blond loli and the Utaha-clone and felt that those were some amazing episodes as it really made the characters feel real to me. The rest of the series was average with good amounts of sarcasm mixed in but I really liked those couple episodes. Monogatari for me is on the other side of the spectrum. I don't think to myself that Senjougahara is necessarily realistic as a character and in a lot of senses do feel the same as about bunny-girl senpai: It feels like Nishioishin is putting words in her mouth to make a character that he likes, this genius socially inept girl kind of thing . But in Senjougahara's case it's fine for me because it really is just that good and once you just take her character as granted and being a thing it's an amazing character imo. I can't say the same about bunnygirl or the MC from that series. It's somewhere inbetween those two for me. The characters just don't feel real to me but at the same time the dialouge just isn't good enough for me to forget about that for a second and just immerse myself and enjoy the dialogue.
//now I went ahead and wall-of-text'd anyways despite saying I don't want to be the party pooper. Just let me make this clear: It's absolutely cool if you enjoy it and like it, it's just not something I personally enjoy. This isn't supposed to put the series down or anything like that, just an explanation why I couldn't stand it myself.

Tsuburaya Productions — who owns the Ultraman “tokusatsu” series and several spin-offs, inlcuding this season’s hot property SSSS.GRIDMAN, has official stated via their company website FAQ that they do not allow doujinshi based on their works to be created and distributed at events and online.

Good. The shit being put out about Gridman was giving it completely the wrong image, since Gridman is actually really good.

People go look at porn to get an impression of the show? Well I knew anime community was weird but that's a new one.

(Lol now looking at the chart I realize it's really not a good season...) Indeed it might be the worst season of all time.
And iono, I usually don't watch seasonals. I'm too busy watching older shit now. A lot of anime from back then feels a lot more comfy and wholesome.
I know it sounds cliche, but everything's too commercial and "predictable," less in the sense that it's predictable plot wise (even though that's also true), but in the sense that we know what we're going to get from a show because they have to pick out specific tropes/archetypes/events/etc. to market itself to a wider audience.
Like iono, I rewatched Kuuchuu Buranko recently, and I don't think we'll ever see a show like that again in a very long while, and I have a hard time seeing something like a Kamichu! coming out these days despite the fact that it's such a wholesome/comfy show.
Is this what it feels like to be getting old..... -_-x

Meh, there isn't really anything special about the girls in the show. Anyone who watches Gridman for the girls is both doing it wrong, and is my enemy

Yeah, I guess I should just unfollow everyone, good idea.

I think they want to change that but it's not changed yet. It does result in you getting all the latest trends nonstop flooding through your timeline because there's at least a couple ones who are really into it, otherwise it wouldn't be so popular. So you get to see all of that as well
