Only other thing in favour is her brother and Izuku surviving the explosion, but they weren't as close as she was so from my perspective, the commander or commander/princess/her butler should've died because it would've made more sense that way. I have no problems with Izuku surviving since there was a lot of "maybes" thrown around him surviving if he piloted again and like you mentioned, not like he came out of it unscathed. forgot that there's a movie for this, guess I should see it sometime soon then. Hopefully it'll have a satisfying ending. I'm not looking for some massive romance or anything that is ongoing in every episode, just a tiny spark in one of those filler episodes that they had: + Show Spoiler + the one episode where they had Kei and Tamaki go around and act like cops/play with kids/etc... for a whole day. And that episode where Tamaki and Kei went around doing PR was great fun! I'm MJP's light-handed touch involving anything close to romance and melodrama is one of its strong points. The vast majority of the time when anime does either, its bad, so I'd rather them keep the badness away and stay focused on keeping it a solid mecha show The movie itself doesn't exactly give a more concrete ending (give me S2 please), but does continue it and throws Asagi a lot more bones than the show did. And continues the Orange trend of having the only best CG in anime Makes even more sense for people into that sorta thing, then. | ||

Either way, damn is that a shit character. I'll take tentacle-rape Asuna, imouto-who-desperately-wants-his-dick (actually she was a cousin iirc?), dutchwife-Asuna and the aids/cancer arc/characters. All better than this. They should have just meme'd all the way with the P90 and not take itself serious. Was at least enjoyable that way. And man I just finished todays Darling in the Franxx episode... this is going places and with that... Highschool DxD is officially the best anime for me this season I think? Oh right nevermind, Souma obviously best. So all good | ||

Apparently the original GGO LN has a different author from SAO, and apparently the writing is better from GGO's author. Now, I've never watched/read SAO, but I heard it's full of flaws so I guess that's not a high bar to cross. I am enjoying watching GGO so far. It's not a masterpiece, but it does a decent job of having fun moment-to-moment scenes and sequences that plays on the game mechanics and themes of VR gaming in general. I also think it helps that it doesn't take itself too seriously most of the time so it's easier to watch it as PUBG the anime. | ||
