Jean dying was a bit predictable and also silly. So, he tells Cosette about his identity on his death bed? I am pretty happy though that Cosette finally has a life that she was happy with instead of working like a slave for a family who did not appreciate it at all. The constant beatings, starvation etc... was just terrible. Felt bad for her and of course, her mom too who suffered greatly. Am I right to believe that women who have children wouldn't be given work due to traditional family values? Gavroche also living despite getting shot was good. I kept thinking that him, Marius or Jean will die at the barricade and guess I was wrong haha. Not sure how faithful it was to the source as it seems like the source kinda ignored Cosette's pov and made her seem passive but from my understanding, there wasn't a ton of other changes otherwise (something about the ending was happier in the anime). Other than that, Eponine dying was not too heart wrenching but a bit sad that the father didn't get what was coming to him. Maybe he should've been shot in her place? haha. Would recommend for sure. Especially given how important the next 2 episodes are. | ||

This is a single run, 2 cour anime. I think they realized they slowed down too much midseason, and now they have to hurry. There's like 2 episodes left. I would enjoy a movie that expands on this a bit more, but I get what it is. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + It's still real good. COMO is full of "shit just got real" moments, but none of it holds any weight because everyone who matters gets away scot free. This is one of the rare moments in FMP where they don't pull their punches. Hi Sent. I also appreciate any scene where people realize they can shoot through cover. | ||
