My list is only like 1/3 updated anyway so I don't care that much.

If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. A bit sad I didnt play it more at the time Yeah, I still play it although not as extensively anymore. It's really sad that it was discontinued in terms of content. Although it actually received some updates recently from devs working on it in their free time. In a recent AMA they stated that the combined downtime for GW in its life-time was just 32 hours. I agree to what Spazer said: MAL's technical ineptitude is astounding.

I can bear with Gigguk because he seems more self-aware and is generally inoffensive, but most of the other ones are morons. I'm sympathetic to the idea of wanting to talk about stuff, but show quality is way more important to me. There's like almost nobody I can talk to about Ergo Proxy, but I don't mind rewatching it again because it's that much better than whatever anime is out there. I just don't have it in me to watch Re ero and sit through something I know I'm going to cringe at just so I can feel like I'm part of something.Wait, you couldnt find people to talk about Ergo Proxy with ? I find that questionable :O. I probably wouldnt rewatch it though, but Pino is best.. Nobody ever has anything meaningful to say. :/ Also because they like Pino. xD But I think my bigger point is you just have a bigger audience for the seasonals. They're much more up to date, etc. etc. I almost stopped watching Ergo Proxy, but then Pino appeared and saved the show for me. + Show Spoiler + But seriously Pino was annoying at first and I didn't get why she was in the show, but later it sort of made sense.

I do specifically remember that at some point their naming convention was really fucked up and had 3 (!) different ways to write out names depending on where you looked names up. Like if you looked at the characters the voice of the Seiyuu would be written in one way, then if you click on the seiyuu itself and get to the specific page of them it's written somehow else and somewhere else it was written in yet another way again. iirc it was " [LastName] [FirstName] " " [FirstName] [LastName] " and " [Last Name], [FirstName]" depending on where you looked. that made me facepalm so hard. No idea if that was generally a styling thing/rule or just something that happened to be a fuckup for this one seiyuu I looked up but man, wtf

The two biggest are anilist and kitsu (Both also work with taiga if that is your thing) I'm giving both a trial run and seeing how they fare. I still think MAL looks better than both of them tho... also the advanced scoring on anilist kind of annoys me. But at least you can rate stuff in smileys or on a 10.0 scale
