within 4 episodes (I think it was 4?), our MC is already good enough to be writing for a princess? what? This is the same person that just 2 episodes earlier graduated from that school etc... I'd rather they go slow and made it believable for such an anime, rather than speed it up. Yes, they meant it's months later but still, for me at least, this doesn't work as well here.

At the end of the day, you're better off reading Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and wishing that KyoAni had the balls to use its aesthetics for something as similarly ambitious and uplifting. The obnoxious post processing effects of the first few episodes tells you where's the studio's priorities really are though.

If they do, that's on them for having poor judgment. :/ At the end of the day, you're better off reading Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and wishing that KyoAni had the balls to use its aesthetics for something as similarly ambitious and uplifting. Adding turds to your Vegetable Garden make your normal seasonals grow strong and healthy and give larger yields. It also prevents weeds, and retains soil moisture as well as enriching soil biology.

Characters designs were pretty generic but the characters were likable and the ping pong matches weren't bad. Sadly season 2 never probably.

It's precisely this idea that blinds us into believing that Vegetable Garden is anything above mediocre. -_-Adding turds to your Vegetable Garden make your normal seasonals grow strong and healthy and give larger yields. At least they slaughtered Sheep. =.= On April 10 2018 01:25 ShiaoPi wrote: Going in blind into hinamatsuri and I thoroughly enjoyed that first episode, that is gonna be a fun series Mango is good too, but nice that it's animated pretty well.

Yea I was told about Fumoffu being more about really funny gags but...I mean I'm down for funny stuff and will keep in mind I'm not supposed to expect this in the new season lol On April 10 2018 05:57 BigFan wrote: SAO: Alt GGO was a great watch! Was surprised by how different it felt from the usual. Worth a try for anyone who's interested! Also, lol at p-chan. Because the writer for the spin off isn't reki kawahara, aka original sao writer, but the guy who wrote the kino no tabi series

Of course there are occasional gems but that's only logical when you realise that most gems from the past once were seasonals as well. Majority of anime that have finished airing were seasonals too at one point >.> As for most being mediocre or worse, well, it's not like every single currently airing anime will ever appeal to you etc... So long as you're able to find several decent ones to watch, I would say that's a pretty good season. I had 5+ airing anime that I thoroughly enjoyed last season.
