The early episodes are fine, but the show doesn't really hit its stride until like... 40? episodes in. And all things considered, 40 episode is a lot, but then it more or less keeps up with that afterwards for several hundred. One Piece definitely does have what you are talking about, you just won't start seeing it until deeper into the show. I'm in this long term. If 40 episodes of foreplay gives me hundreds of episodes of a good show, sign me up.

seems like he's guessed that that's her! this should be good! :D On October 27 2017 22:06 sharkie wrote: So you want One Piece but don't want to check it out? Weirdo :p I'm not interested in dedicating so much time to play catch up. I've made exceptions in the past for some of the bigger series like LoGH, Ranma etc... but I just can't go into OP knowing I have something like 800+ episodes to catch up. Not gonna happen at all even if OP is the most kickass show ever (could be, who knows).

You mean... the anime? I dunno if there even is a 3rd season announced for it. At any rate, its not one of those anime with an indefinite run to them, so my guess would either be in like a year for another 13-25 eps, or never.

I still can't agree with calling it a hiatus, one season ended and now we're waiting for the next to begin, they're seperate entities and not one continued run. Also no, there's no news about when season 3 begins. Most likely it'll air summer18, possibly fall18. Bones has an anime original thing planned for spring 18 so it's unlikely to be there.

Damn ![]() just to clarify once more because "caught up to what was current" sounds a lot like you're thinking about it like those long running shounen series à la Naruto, OnePiece, FairyTail etc which will basicly try to adapt everything and throw in anime original filler when they get too close to the source and there's nothing left to adapt. While Hero Academia is somewhat similar in genre and all, the way it's produced and shown is completly different as it's seasonal or nightly airing anime. So yes, it has a season 3 announced to it (if what Numy said is correct, I don't watch it myself) but with these kind of things they don't go on hiatus. They plan 10-13 (1 cour) to 22-25 episodes (2 cour) ahead of time and that's basicly it. If it's super popular another season may follow but even that is unsure for all but the most popular series and it may take years. Just to make sure you don't get the wrong impression of this being something you're going to get on a weekly basis.

Nothing else really gets that kind of commitment that I've seen. Even the super popular shounen jump style series might get dropped at some point. Sword art online as well. Aniplex said they were animating everything from those two. In the same event even.
