WHERE YOU AT NEW GAME EPISODE. I NEED YOU
also, mfw the unlewded konosuba sidestory illustration is still way too lewd: + Show Spoiler [nsfw] +https://twitter.com/yuukihagure/status/892303523156705280 not that I'm complaining. That's probably going to be the first spinoff vol I'll read

My initial reaction about seeing that image was far too lewd. I think I need to be purged. Lock the door when you busy Kou!
I've finished first half of LWA, kind of agree that story eps so far been weaker than non-story. I understand the need for tension in storytelling but kind of wish this was more like K-ON spliced with Harry Potter than it's Harry Potter with a little bit of cute anime girl. Having said all that I could see people railing on the show if it didn't have some kind of tension and plot narrative.
Actually there's some deja vu going on here as tonal shifts were a big focus of conversation when 3-gatsu was airing(Waiting for BD so no spoilerino). Again that time I enjoyed the fluffy character relations focused scenes a lot while a big criticism others have is that it didn't "fit" the rest of the show. I wonder if with the method of viewing we now have (binging mostly) that people are becoming more and more likely to prefer narrative focused stories over character/episodic focus. TV series we still see a vast array of styles with shows like Mad men focusing so heavily on characters that often nothing tangible happens a whole episode. Is it a case of anime population is too homogeneous or not big enough yet to allow all these different styles? Is it just a fad we seeing while studios try figure out what works best in the current landscape?
Just random thoughts I had while watching LWA. Thought I'd pop in and throw them out since I've been a bit mia here. Well that and Toad is freaking lewd.

![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/UQOeKCi.jpg) I just had to... that was fitting too well from last page
At least I'm not lewding the New Game! chars like you do though... I bet you pictured Rin peeking on Kou while she was undressed in the office or other devilish things like that now with that line added I shouldn't get warned for picture-only post~

Jeanne was ugly in FGO. But at the same time, its just a Mobile game, so they probably don'T invest alot into visuals.

Watched the first ep of New Game!. It's interesting. Will give it a few more to see how it pans out.
|
I really enjoyed the recent ep of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. It made me laugh several times. Of course, I doubt this party will ever have any serious trouble since the MC is basically god's incarnation, but I find it hilarious how OP he is.

I see god reincarnated caught himself a loli. If that means I get to hear the samurai-girl talking less often I'm okay with that

I think she looks great in both, though not a fan of every one of the ascension levels art.

Finished watching shin sekai yaoi last night.
Squealer did nothing wrong
|
I never quite realized how many people were pro murder, rape, abduction and brainwashing so long as it suited a cause until you read opinions on SSY and squealer.
People make me sad.
|
+ Show Spoiler +Squealer deserved mostly everything that happened to him at the end of the show. Minus the torture. Maybe. You can't even say that he just 'rose against his oppressors' because he murdered, abused and exploited his own kin brutally as well, being just as bad towards his brethren as he was towards the humans that had oppressed him.
He was awful and evil.
|
+ Show Spoiler +He was essentially Stalin. The anime community's love of him sickens me greatly.
|
+ Show Spoiler [more SSY] +Don't you get it Numy? If you were treated poorly yourself it gives you a moral carte blanche to commit any atrocity you please towards anyone you want to Makes perfect sense.
But man SSY is still an amazing show. Horribly depressing but amazing.

The thing with SSY is that while it's amazing and depressing. The most depressing aspects of it are actually peoples opinions afterwards. Reading about how they stopped watching after episode 4 because of "that scene" is more depressing than any fiction. Then the whole squeeler stuff. Arg. Really makes you understand why it's so difficult for people just to be decent human beings to each other.

Today I learned:- 2nd of August is pantsu day (八二)
- 2nd of August is officially Kou-chan's birthday (New Game!)
- the mangaka for New Game! can be really cruel at times
that is all

Something about experimentations, slavery, genocide? and then going off to hide the history of it.

Dropped New Game! Too slice of life for me. GGWP

Something about experimentations, slavery, genocide? and then going off to hide the history of it. + Show Spoiler +What Unleashing and myself are saying is that none of that matters. Committing atrocities against your own people and your enemies just because your enemies committed atrocities to you in the past is not justification. The people he's doing all this two are largely innocent of any of this anyway even if you did want to make that kind of justification. They just people who are brainwashed and even murdered if they don't conform to their own society. So here you have two repressed societies by one group.
Stalin justified his mass murder and cruelty as him fighting against the opposition(Tzar) while progressing society to a "better place". It's a classic case study of "do the ends justify the means". Generally the conclusion in morality is that the journey of how you reach a destination is as important as the destination itself. That's what drives our moral compass as a society.
There's also plenty of examples throughout history of how societies built through cruelty on the ashes of what came before merely repeats the cycle instead of actually creating something better. That's why the French revolution was such an amazing event because they realized the path they were following wasn't going to lead to a better tomorrow and instead tried to change that. Compare that to the USSR and Russia. They just switched one tyrant for another. So Squeelers methods are not only hard to justify but lead to an end result where the queerats aren't even better off.
Anyway it just makes me sad.

I didn't know people had to have the same opinion on a piece of fiction to be decent human beings to each other.
