I guess it's time for me to say this for the first time, -- if it's just random confessions then you have shit taste.
by the way, it kinda has many stories, that will evolve with episodes, though I'm not sure it is connected more than it all happening around the same school.
Idk, I'm just so pumped that there is finally an anime that I legit find funny, and considering that I've read a bit of the manga a few months ago, as far as I remember, this will be one heck of a great ride.
Story has always been discussed here? I'm not sure what you are getting at here. it was decently cute and entertaining but it's a short(12 mins) and it had 4 different couples that seem to not have an intertwined story. I was expecting some sort of drama that involved all 8 characters but it doesn't seem like there is any. It's simply something that I am not interested in after watching the first ep. Maybe it gets different later? i might check out a few manga chapters but I don't have much hope.
Considering i still have more shows to try this season, that 12 mins every week could go into watching shows that im actually interested in.

I was and still am. It reminded me of that other spy anime that you liked from several seasons back. Given, I haven't watched a single episode and went off synopsis here.
I thought you watched ep1. I actually looked up the synopsis and preview. The art and staff looked nice but the "cute girl" thing might ruin it. I don't know, it seems like the kind of show that has a decent premise but ends up being hilariously bad because of some design decisions. I might check out an episode when I have some spare time.

It is more or less the polar opposite of Joker Game. Meh.
lol

It almost had rape while being hilarious. That sounds absolutely garbage. Like, how can rape be hilarious. The word "almost" also most likely means the anime sucks because shit anime take a lot of "borderline" stuff and do it almost. They almost kissed, they almost confessed, they almost fucked, blablabla. Just watch Texhnolyze and + Show Spoiler +
see a father rape his child and then go cry in a corner please.
I'm liking Isekai Shokudou as well. Not like it's amazingly good or anything like that but it's enjoyable. There's just one gripe I have with it: The people eating at his place are all really out of character when they describe the food imo. I get that this is a cooking anime / whatever the source is and they need to describe why the food is good but those people walking into his place are all more or less random guys, not some kind of food critic who can exactly put into words what it tastes like. Maybe in the 2nd half of ep2, the rich guy comming in but the treasure hunter / adventurer-lady in the first half? I never got the impression that it's her character thinking those things and always thought that's just the auther himself...

I'll give you that. But at the same time, it adds more to just how good his cooking is. There is a manga called Bartender that does the same thing, except with alcohol. I can forgive that much of the characters being, "out-of-character" if it moves the story along and gives some background to the MC, who I'm guessing is the chef? Or will it become the maid?

lol we must not have read the same thread for the past 50 pages then :D This show definitely doesn't have any "Deep meaning" or "big emotional story". It's just fun/comedy. Basically I'm just shocked that people who could watch and rave about maidragon/nichijou and such, think this show is bad.

or you can, like, watch it. It's nothing of the sort. And those comparisons are just absolute bogus considering what kind of show tsurezure is and what kind of show any other anime you know of except gintama is. Do you also go off on a tangent when something "almost happens" in gintama?
Chill...it's just been one 12 min episode. Not enough for anyone watching it to even have any impressions on it, much less talk about it other than the fact that it aired.

On a more serious note though, I would apply the same standards to Gintama as to every other show. Why wouldn't I? Is Gintama something special or what?

Story is discussed quite often. Also, the way you describe the anime makes it sound like ass.

Yes. Gintama is something special. Few anime can make you laugh and almost cry in one episode and keep you on the edge of your seat with the story/action/comedy. You don't even need to know the cultural inside jokes to be moved. Exhibit A
I feel like they're going overboard with the yolo a bit here and there but it's obviously way better than the weird subs from last week. I actually like that they've tried to give yun an accent in the subs as well now (which she didn't have in s1 subs iirc?) since that has always been kinda ... the reason to like her if you're into her I guess?
But good to have had an excuse to rewatch it once more because Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni apparently isn't the funny kind of trashy but just trashy. Or so I've heard

I've heard how it's about (after about 100 WN chapters) + Show Spoiler +
the boy is like some how related to God and he is the only one who can defeat country destroying extraterrestrial beasts that invade various regions as an army and he has the people use a smartphone to contact him So he can get there in time to save them. There's also a lot of people dying and shit. Seems rather serious so if you wanted comedy, it doesn't seem like this is focused on it. There might be some SOL in the beginning I guess. Dunno if any of the above will be in the anime though...
I watched Isekai Smartphone thingy, not a bad watch for my taste. MC so far seemed pretty good and I usually like OP MC's which this one seems to be. It's obviously very generic and is said to be a harem anime, which after the first episode seems very likely.
