I thought the initial designs were kind of meh compared to the manga but they kept all the glorious facial expressions. I hope the show can get up to the igarashi match because that is the best place to stop but the chapters are hella long so probably not. I guess it might be ok if they stop after kaede or yumemi | ||

Out of curiosity, how much of the story did you understand? Hard question. The beginning : very interesting, seeing the small group move around the city, visually unique. I haven't read anything about Blame, so I had no idea what was going on. Quickly, I understood that there was an enemy to be avoided, and humans were trying to survive while being hunted. That's when the Safeguards started attacking. I thought the story would be about survival, which isn't quite what Blame is I guess. They meet Killy, as soon as he talks about net gene DNA or whatever, I had no idea what it was, so I thought the story would be about that. I think I started understanding things a little bit more when they find Cibo. Alot of things from the universe weren't explained, but I thought that's what made the movie captivating for the viewer. TL;DR : Lots of thigns surrounding the universe and even the Killy character aren't explained. It's like being thrown into somewhere with imperfect information of the situation. OVerall, I enjoyed the movie. I even started reading the manga because I wanted more. I would be happy if they do more movies following on this universe. About Manga : I understand why some of the reviews said the movie wasn't portraying the manga perfectly. STory is also different. | ||
