Man, I'm usually pretty good with actors and actresses but this has to be really low budget. The cast has like 2 idols and a bunch of no-name actresses / models. Zzz. This will be really bad
speaking of which... I don't think I ever watched s2 of Saki? All I remember is them going to an indoors water park or something like that after the first big tournament and then comming to the conclusion that I just don't need to see them in a bikini. No idea why that freaked me out lol

Three years ago this thread would have been disgusted at Keijo and 'pai in general.
Sentenal and I have come a long way in preaching the gospel.

After Keijo Trigger is going to have to save anime again...

I'm still pretty disgusted but I somehow feel like I'm in the minority here.

if ZNF taught you anything in the last month it's that you should appreciate the salt and just have a good laugh
(I don't read kotaku either, but someone linked it to me and it made me laugh so badly )

edit: nvm wrote something longer but to sum up what i wrote: kotaku sucks too much for me to laugh at it

I'm 10 episodes into the second season of Haikyuu. So far it's weaker than s1 imho. Way too much explanations they keep repeating over and over. Yeah, I already got it the first time around, no need to explain it 5 times. The drama is so-so, quite predictable and partly boring. I hope they move on to the tournament really quick now. Oh, and Yachi needs more screentime. They are doing a similar thing they did to the old manager: Giving her mostly one-liners which isn't enough to make an interesting character out of her. Yachi got a bit more, sure, and her attitude is surely less boring than that of the old manager but it's still not enough imho.
It's pretty spot on, yes.

Keijo is legit good. One of the only "problems" with Keijo is apparently its practically impossible to discuss, which is unfortunate. But whats actually disgusting here is those shitty cookie cutter generic harem anime that come out every season that get so popular in this thread.
I wish I didn't get baited to read that. What a terrible article.
|
That article has some good points imo. Keijo is the shitty trashy fanservice anime ramped up to 10. It doesn't even have an interesting setting or something. It is unapologetically just about boobs and butts so its boring.
I will take my trashy shit harem animes over the likes of Keijo any day~ at least DxD has a heaven vs hell setting with magic and battles and shit.

Yeah, they are probably more disgusting than Keijo. And I have to admit, Keijo is at least entertaining while giving me a headache.
|
The problem with Keijo is people who don't have any clue what they are talking about just summarily dismiss it, and go back to their shitty loli harem cookie cutter garbage, and then the majority of people who do like it just meme over how ridiculous it, because that just the sort of anime it is.
|
No one likes the cookie cutter garbage of any genre lol. Harem is no different.
|
And yet its eaten right up and people ask for seconds.
|
Not really, the shit generic stuff gets panned and dropped pretty early. For a while when Harem was more popular there were always generics trying to score on the trend but failed. Very few are actually good to various degrees. Which is why animes tagged with "harem" are actually my lowest aggregate rated shows because I have watched/tried a lot and most of them are shit.
I don't even know where the loli bit came in. Aren't loli lovers a pretty small group?
|
The article doesn't have any good points as far as i'm concerned.
First it starts out talking about "OMG HOW DID THIS GET APPROVED" Well it got approved because they saw potential profit in producing it. There's a market both for people who like the fanservice aspect and also people who think the show is fun due to how over the top and silly it is. Asking the question of how it got approve as though it's insanely unthinkable for it to have been approved just seems idiotic, especially in the same season that "Okusama ga Seitokaichou!" is airing.
Then it continues about how keijo is about deplorable and horrible things (Fanservice). But that's just the author's opinion, they're entirely free to not like fanservice or think that it ruins an anime. But again, that's literally just their opinion. I'm sure there are shows with elements that they enjoy that i felt ruined the show, we're all different and it really shouldn't be hard to just move on if you dislike a specific show because it isn't pandering to you.
Then it ends on a note about how having fanservice be an integral part of a show is something that apparently shouldn't happen to begin with. And i fail to see why. If it's something that there's a market for then companies will try to earn money from that market and the people who are that market will consume the product and enjoy it. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't complain about all the anime that's made that don't pander to me, that'd be idiotic.
Edit: I have plenty of anime i dislike or hate but i wouldn't really go as far for any of them to say that they're horribly disgusting abominations that shouldn't have been made to begin with. Because i think that'd be a dumb mindset to have.
