they got to meet and talk face to face. That bluffing by Ikta, masterful.
Wonder if we'll be seeing a season 2 in the near future.
Macross Delta: hard to tell what I think of it lol. The show has certainly had its ups and downs. Music was good overall though I feel aside from 2 songs, the rest are all forgettable. Characters were fine, typical. Battles were exciting overall. Loved the pairing in the end! 8/10 for some of those more slow and boring episodes lol.

The awfulness of Delta made me realize that Frontier was actually pretty good for a Macross.

Man, idk if I'm taking this guy's words too literally but this guy makes so little sense to me. He could have just cut the first 4 minutes of the video and just said mob is great because he Is disadvantaged against the real problems he faces. For one, the girls in the examples that he brings up in the begining are just about as socially retarded as the mc (ayato and kirito in this case)
Damn, they killed everybody. Didn't see that one coming. A little too melodramatic for my likings but it wasn't too bad. I suppose Chiko is going to accept his heritage and story will be about that for the next 18 episodes or so.

People like to interpret highly deep stuff into series they like while the author may have never thought of them. The video made sense to me though. The girls are irrelevant in this case.

I think it's fine if you interpret stuff despite it not being the author's intent. That is that person's call and the onus is on that person to support it. You know, death of an author and all.
I just feel that digibro is making a judgement more on the audience rather than the actual shows themselves. Which is just not very interesting.

I see your point and I agree. I think people should mention that it's an interpretation when they do that instead of pretending it's a fact. That's also what causes the problem here imho. It kind of sounds like he is calling out the audience for not seeing his interpreted depth while his interpretation is simply not a fact but just up to interpretation.
I would argue for example that Kirito's social ineptness is more likely caused by the inability of the author to write decent social interactions instead of being puposefully done to create a marry-sue for otakus.
Digi considers himself a Gonzo journalist so that's probably why he comes over like that. It's annoying at times but he generally supports his points well, though sometimes he has his head too far up his ass like here :
He sounds like Thorin to me. Constructions this weird antagonist in their head then forms a whole video arguing against this antagonist when they don't even exist in the first place. Every now and then there's some good pearls of thought but it's often too muddled by bullshit.

That's often why side characters in these stories are so much more interesting. The author doesn't take the time to actually write about them so there's no chance to mess them up due to inability to write well.

I mean, he does admit at the very beginning he's going to be really unfair lol
Iono, I think Digi a lot of times just states the obvious. That's...my problem with most of the mainstream reviewers. They fashion themselves to be sort of connoisseurs (GR is like the worst offender of this) but end up just saying things that are really trite.
There's a few people on Youtube with pretty cool stuff, but they tend to be much longer videos that are a bit denser, which is why they aren't as popular.
Not exclusive to just reviewers, plenty of "sophisticated" people in online boards talk a lot but say very little.

The problem is that they simply have no choice if they want to earn any money from their channel. The only videos that pull in viewers either praise something that's already well liked or attack something that's despised or controversial. He still puts out the best content in terms of analysis IMO but that's mainly because there's not many alternatives in the first place (AnimeEveryday is the only other guy that comes to mind).

Demolition D pumps out some original content with some decent analysis as well. Problem is that he rarely pumps out content.
