Sometimes you just want to see a scene animated and hear the VAs go at it. They did a pretty good job in Konosuba too. Though your right about the lns which ofc is why I immediately went and read them. Wanting to see a scene (or rather, scenes) animated is like the main point of anime. But when its animated like shit, its not really adding anything of value. Might as well just stick with the source at that point. And since when do you care about VAs lol

Do think it's sad how little people read these days with how easy it is to read. Just because you're upset that anime didn't end doesn't mean you'll suddenly enjoy a medium you dislike. Really dislike people telling others to "just go read the manga/LN" as if that justifies anything. Just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone. Come now this isn't a hard concept. Different people have different tastes. It makes perfect sense to be upset about not getting a fulfilling conclusion in one format. Even the argument that anime is really just adverts to manga/LN falls flat for me since that doesn't have to be the case. Accepting it as the case merely allows shitty practices while hindering potential in the medium. That's not even talking about how a shitty advert doesn't help sell a product anyway so there's no reason for terrible animation quality.

But both should be able to stand by itself so yeah I'm getting the hate on anime that doesn't have a proper ending as well even if I do end up checking it out later on.

Also Sentenal: I don't really care about VAs but hearing certain dialogue exchanges out loud can be good. I also did not know about Konosuba until the anime. Your right tho I don't give a fuck about VAs lol, only one I would consider myself a fan of is Swashiro.

Maybe it's just some pet peeve. Just loathe people excusing shit stuff in anime with "go read source".

Do you just get tired looking at a screen too long? I heard some people can't read on computers or iPads but can do it on a Kindle. Have you tried that?

Have you tried that? I think it's just a thing of not getting comfortable while reading for me? I CAN read on a screen but I really don't like it. I probably do get tired easily that way as well but that's not really the thing that bothers me I think. Out of those, putting a pdf on my smarthphone and reading it while in my bed before sleeping or in a chair (you know, the kind of thing you'd have in your living room) is still the thing I'm the most willing to do. But even that is kind of annoying because you need both hands for the smarthphone whereas proper book is just held in one hand, comfy chair and you can read for hours. A kindle would probably work for me. Have thought about that but never really got to try one. Would I just put pirated LNs on that? Or can you actually buy them (amazon or else) from outside JP ? // just tried looking for KonoSuba since that was brought up and it gave me a not available message ![]() That would be pretty massive though. You get rid of shipping costs and all and while I'd still want my favorite ones hardcover for the sake of seeing them in my room I'd so be up for getting some of the quite enjoyable but not quite willing to pay 20$ shipping + 2$ per item LNs

Provided that the book you want has one.
