If I wanted to watch something just to read the book instead why would I bother watching in the first place? I have read Spice and Wolf after watching the anime, that was largely due to never knowing about the books if I hadn't. I still want season 3,4,5,6,7 etc. It's a vastly different experience. Maybe it's just some pet peeve. Just loathe people excusing shit stuff in anime with "go read source". I'm on Numy's side here. For me the medium really matters. Different media are good at different things. For example, books are much better at creating a vibrant world in your head because it's all imaginative. On the other hand, shows have the distinct advantage of using music, voices, sounds and pre-set environments to create a certain mood that isn't hazy like in your head. There are tons of examples. I personally dislike reading manga. Jumping from one panel to the next with half-finished sentences and shouts just isn't much fun to me, except for comedy. I love reading books though. I never tried LNs. What's the difference between LNs and normal novels? So yeah, for me if I watch an anime which doesn't adapt the whole source it's kind of bad because I know I most likely won't enjoy the manga as much as I did the anime. Because of this, I end up not reading the manga except for some rare cases where I really loved the anime.

Overview: http://imgur.com/Ei9tJqb (2 pages per picture because scans) Random page: http://imgur.com/NpmetbX If you get a random moeblob, wishfulfilment, escapism one or something on the more serious side of things completly depends on which one you pick up. There should be plenty of both (especially the first). I think there's 2 different form factors to them as well, or at least that's the only ones that I have come across so far. There are those smaller ones that are around the size of your hand (in my experience the majority of things) and then there are the ones that are a bit bigger like a "proper" book. Maybe that's just on publishers thoughs, idk. Anyways: Monogatari to the left, KonoSuba to the right: http://imgur.com/1kYlDVj Maousama to the left, Monogatari to the right: http://imgur.com/LSOehWU http://imgur.com/g4GbOtA There's also a shitton of stuff that originated from webnovels the last couple of years since they realized that those sell amazing. So lots of stuff that was just started as a hobby by someone who otherwise has a normal job.

I've mostly made peace with anime being ads for series or just not really ending, also have enough of a book backlog. Though I like comicrack for reading manga and kind of surprised at how many LN getting translated at this point. I just set up some hotkeys to toggle audio and subtitles instead, I feel so stupid for not thinking about it ![]() Probably covered in the link but basic option. Right click filter --> splitter --> properties. audio: jpn,eng sub: eng if it's lav splitter and you want subs only on for jpn stuff etc, advanced options. https://1f0.de/lav-splitter/lav-splitter-stream-selection/

I don't know but if you want to trust certain voices it wil be within the next 3 month for Kimi no Na wa. /Finished Nichibros. Pretty mediocre to me. It had some good sketches but most of them weren't funny. The main thing I have to say about this anime is that the voice actors must have had a shit ton of fun.
