When Okita told Kodai that he led Kodai's brother to death I was like, "why the hell am I feeling like tearing up? I don't even know the characters yet.". Then I realised it was the music. Damn. Really looking forward to see more! A question about the language: + Show Spoiler + Does anyone know why the aliens don't speak their language anymore? In the first episode they spoke some other language but now they switched to japanese. | ||

IIRC when its just Gamilas talking to Gamilas, and there is no need to convey that they are speaking a different language than the Earthlings, they'll just talk in Japanese. And also, enjoy! Yamato 2199 is really sold through pretty much its whole run! Okita is the best captain. | ||

Starting to plan a trip to Japan (confirmation by the end of this month). Trip of 3-4 weeks : October or November, still to be determined. Any suggestions/tips for those of you that visited Japan? (it doesn't have to be limited to anime!). What's the cheapest way to live there (i'm assuming hostels are expensive!)? I don't need luxury as long as I have a warm bed!  Any personal ressources, websites, softwares, to learn the basics of the language in a month and half time? | ||
