I'm a lot more harsh on them compared to other anime, if they fail to move me I tend to think it's awful. Also, most of them have awful characters or awful writing (or both) and Anohana was no different. Maybe it's because I couldn't really relate to any of the characters So you hated Clannad After Story? I actually liked it until the asspull ending that ruined the whole show for me. Still though, it was okay
The ending was actually quite ok though if you think about it.
+ Show Spoiler +It showed that Tomoya would go through the same pain again, just to experience the time he had with Nagisa again as well. For me that saved the otherwise ruined tragic ending, which I think would have been the best.

There's a couple things I don't like about it, like it generally being a really slow start. I really didn't enjoy the early episodes all that much... Not really a fan of the last episode either but I was really hooked for the most part and enjoyed it. The Suzuha episode was probably my favorite.
All in all I'll give this an 8.5/10 despite me not really liking the last episode and the earlier episodes because I liked the drama-ish parts inbetween quite a lot. Like I said, that Suzuha episode.
Oh forgot: Noire carried like crazy. Suzuha was good but more because of her story than anything else (not supposed to mean that yukarin was bad, I just wouldn't say that's what made the character good whereas Noire became good just because of her voice). And I can't believe I'm saying this but I really liked HanaKana for Mayuri. who's noire?

Noire's VA also voices makise kurisu.

ReZero + Show Spoiler +Why can people remember the White Whale's victims isn't the whole point that he erases people? Even if it doesn't do it to everyone why does Subaru not tell everyone of this ability or even think about it?

+ Show Spoiler +It does have that ability and everyone knows about it, but it doesn't do it to everyone it kills. You can tell by the speech the green haired girl gave in the hall when talking about grave stones.

+ Show Spoiler + i think it was implied that the old guy thought he might have been delusional about his wife, so they do take the memories away, but everyone knows that's how the white whale works?

New Game with one of it's better episodes today. Basicly a fanservice episode but the episode was still funny and we got to see lots of inbetween stuff on the day off while realizing once more that Ko-chan is all about that ass. + Show Spoiler +The sleeping bag really had me laughing, even more when she started walking in it.

Two roles does not mean she's typecast.

I never said she's typecasted... I ASKED IF she is or if that's a coincidence. idk what's hard to understand about that... just answer with a straight "no that's coincidence and she had other roles" instead of that bullshit

Show should have been 3 episodes max. Instead it was an annoying 11 and a decent 12th ep. Honestly I watched that show at a pretty low point in my life while having fairly into a bottle of JD and a day after marathoning SSY, so my views on it are most likely pretty clouded. Needless to say I cried like a little girl and didn't even realize it was 12 eps. I remember a fat guy, a ghost girl and some hot girl that was emo or something. To some extent I can understand why people like that show. I feel that it was pretty terribly written and that it probably speaks closer to weak/insecure/or confused people. Everyone in their life may go through a point in that. But I thought it was really poorly written and MC was a dumbass. That's kind of the point though since he's clearly depressed so it may capture how hard it is for a depressed person to move into the most mundane tasks. It's one of the few animes I've watched where I was bored or angry at it 95% of the time until a few touching parts. Slogged through only cause of the high rating. For sadness I prefer things like (episode number spoilers) + Show Spoiler +Death Parade ep 12 (Chiyuki & her mom looked like they were in so much pain) Clannad AF ep 18 (field) Even FMA;B's blind man OVA (it was just kind of sweet and nice) Tasogare final ep End of Gintama ep 214 (after the credits) Cowboy Bebop - Faye tape and quite a few others.
For sadness Cross Game episode 01 (and some others) are all i "need" ...

+ Show Spoiler [Orange ep6] +Quite decent again. Liked the ending, especially because the foreshadowing over the other episodes was so good. What I disliked was how dense Mrs. MC is. Kakeru told her straight face that he wanted to ask her out. Then he tells her that he moved the status for the person he was interested in to "in love". She still doesn't know who it is. Really? Even I wouldn't be that stupid, lol.
+ Show Spoiler [Alderamin ep5] +Pretty underwhelming. I generally dislike the 99 % childhood flashback episodes. They tried to make me care more...well...they didn't fail entirely but mostly. The wolf story was also pretty stupid. As if wolves, let alone especially smart wolves as it was suggested multiple times, do something like this. Should have been humans instead. Or dogs.

It was the premise of your question. "Is she super typecasted, or is it just a coincidence that they are similar?" Why would voicing two similar roles be enough to make you jump to either of those conclusions? Its not like a seiyuu voicing multiple similar roles is uncommon, but that also doesn't mean they are typecast.

Its not like a seiyuu voicing multiple similar roles is uncommon, but that also doesn't mean they are typecast. it didn't make me come to a conclusion. That's why I asked instead of making a statement like "lol she mega typecasted". Again, what's wrong with that question? Sheer curiosity and if I want to know if she's someone who gets typecasted or not what would be the alternative here in your opinion? Watch 3 more 12episode animes to find out myself and spend ~15 hours on that when a simple question in here can do the same in 15 seconds? Heck I could ask that question after having watched a single series with her just out of curiosity and don't see why it's a bad thing to ask oO
// To explain why I asked, it's pretty well known that I'm a Noire fan, right? So I genuinly just wanted to ask if there's more stuff like that from her since I liked Kurisu as that generic tsundere and I like Noire. I'd watch more with her like that just for her tsundere voice/act. Maybe that didn't quite get across and I stepped on someones toes who took it as me insulting her?
|
Maybe it wasn't your intention, but you asked an either/or question with both choices being silly lol
Asami Imai isn't really in that many anime. Shes much more talented as a singer than she is as a seiyuu (Neptunia-wise, shes one of the least prolific voice actresses in an series filled with voice-talent). Other than S;G and Neptunia, the only other things she has a major role in I can think of is Idolmaster and Senran Kagura.
