agree, show has been fantastic this season. I don't see any particular faults with it and it does feel really different and heartwarming to most of the other romance anime I've seen. I'll probably rate it higher than a 9/10 lol ^^

As for the episode, Asuka got owned. Nothing wrong with the birdcage tactic, even if the coaches and seem to hate on it. Saki is just on another level, period. That's the reason why Asuka couldn't do anything. Saki and her coach are acting really arrogant though, so they're easy to hate and sort of deserve it.

yes, I think it was important for Asuka to realize that losing can also be frustrating because so far, she's been all happy and chirpy whether she wins or loses. Yup, Saki is easily above her level by many folds but I think most hate the tactic because the focus of the tactic is on tiring the opposing player rather than facing them head on and trying to score points the usual way. Must be frustrating as hell to go up against this tactic seeing as how Shindou looked that way and Asuka who's known for her happy-go-lucky attitude broke down in tears despite it being a practice match.

Well yeah, from that view point I agree. I don't watch many romances and I think I never saw a solely heart-warming one like this. I saw other heart-warming shows and romances I liked more though. And I don't rate animes based on their genre.

Amazon recommendations are way too good. They are recommending me to buy "My Hero Academy" because apparently it's similar to One Punch Man. I guess those are both japanese comic books, so they aren't wrong...

amazon can be weird... I usually have the issue that they're fully committed on one randomly picked entry in my "last 20 items you viewed/bought" list and go all-out on that except for the "new for you" suggestions:

I don't even know why they're focusing so much on those bottom 2. I checked out Saekano #1 because I got the third one without getting #1 and #2 and everything else gets ignored~
Why can't you just go all out on Hataraku Maou sama instead Amazon. I looked that up recently as well with the new book being out for only a couple weeks...
And let's not kid ourselves, that "new for you" list, even if it's the only list that's some decent mix of actually different things looks like the most cancerous list ever, except for the Shinobu. But that's partly to blame on my taste I guess
Shouwa Genroku is apparently tanking after all. Slowly dropping out of the Manga charts and according to MAL it's the first BD to show up for this season and it didn't manage to rank in those either oO

Finished Stardust Memory but won't start Zeta Gundam for a month or so for multiple reasons. As for Stardust Memory + Show Spoiler +Man... Nina never ceased to amaze me. She helped Gato and threatened shooting Kou, I saw that coming but it was such a damn horrible scene, rofl. I hoped for Gato to kill Nina, too bad he didn't.  And Kou wasn't much better honestly, after all the shit that happened he immediately accepted Nina again. Wow. As for the anime... The battles were quite decent, I'd give a 7 if it wasn't for the characters. The characters in this must have been the worst I've seen, they singlehandely make me rate it a 5 instead. Gato was the one and only decent char in this anime.

Gato was shit too, but the animation in 0083 is some top tier stuff that few anime to this day have ever surpassed.

Yeah the animation carried it and still imho makes it worth a watch, even if the story and characters are absolutely awful

I still like the design of the GP-02. GP-01 is pretty vanilla and GP-03 is a bit much, but GP-02 is just right.
I've always thought that the true measure of a Gundam anime lies in how good its dramatic speeches are, and Gato covered that really well. Honestly, I'm only half joking about that.
And characters aside, I'd say the whole anime is worth it just for the whole Solomon I have returned scene. God I love that scene.

+ Show Spoiler +was way better for me this week. Megumin in the room, her eyes, the dolls and the toilet with her still denying that she has to use the toilet is just really cute.
Sad that they shafted Wiz so badly and went straight to the meeting in the shop. Understandable, the innitial meeting at the graveyard would have probably needed another 5-7 minutes or so... but kinda weird to have her just there "oh and btw that's Wiz, we met her even before we met the Dullahan.". Made the entire joke of Aqua (duh) being the reason Ghosts settled in the mansion become pretty flat because you just don't understand the situation. And like I said, that happened before the Dullahan so with like 2 episodes inbetween meeting Wiz and meeting her again today in the shop that joke would have been better I think. It just kind of came out of nowhere if you don't know that.
And we're getting BEST scene next episode o/

KonoSuba was glorious again + Show Spoiler +We got to see Wiz. Even though they appear to have skipped the Graveyard scene, it felt the summary was alright. I guess they could have pulled that Graveyard scene and pretty much everything of Vol 2 from what I heard if they did 12 episodes like almost every other 1 cour show... 2 less makes quite a difference.

I don't think they're actually up on Baka-tsuki. I just checked there and they do have #1-5 listed as translated but those are just links to a blog and that seems to be taken down because of a DMCA

maybe you can find some copies of the fan-translation somewhere though. I know ragz innitially gave me a link to raws that didn't work either and I just found it on nyaa after a couple minutes of searching, not getting anything and finally just trying that because why not lol
