In that episode Kuon was hiding at that place as well, and I imagine they were scheming something. Maybe I'm all wrong though and someone else is behind it, I can't imagine it's Oshutoru.
I'm pretty sure Oshutoru will get saved. And I expect Haku to somehow become the emperor, even if it wouldn't make much sense.
The OVA is based on the novels, so I imagine the novels are good too. Normally the source of an anime is "better" than the anime itself, but with how good LOGH is, it makes me very interested in how the novels compare, and whats different in it.

Alright, apparently the second one also comes out this year. I think I'll preorder them both, but it'll probably take a while till I have read them because I'm not a bookworm and I got some other things to read still (The Malazan Book of the Fallen stuff, pretty good too).

Judging by your taste I think chances are high that you will at least not regret your watch in the end. I have said it multiple times before but I'll say it again: In the beginning I wasn't mostly bored, although I expect that to be different on a rewatch. But at some point it began to get better and better and better and ended up being one of the most amazing rides I have ever experienced in anime.

The characters in stardust memories are probably some of the most despicable in the entire franchise. The real selling point is the rivalry between gato and kou imo.
Some scenes are also spectacular. There's one scene later on that is pretty damn iconic.

Well, Nina is one of the most hated characters in Gundam, and Kou is one of the worst MCs (and is a failure who got beat up by a cripple), so it is accurate that its worse than the romance in 08th MS Team.
