Finished Mouryou no Hako. Kinda mediocre. The show is billed as a mystery, but it's one of those "the mystery is really just a vehicle for the plot" type shows. There's no way the viewer would ever arrive at the right answers unaided. The manner in which the story was presented... I guess it worked, but there were definite periods of boredom. There are episodes where people literally spend 20 minutes sitting around a table and talking. The story isn't presented in chronological order, which makes things confusing at the start (deliberately, I assume). Things become pretty clear in the end though, if only because they spend an entire episode explaining everything outright. The resolution wraps things up in a very unsatisfactory way. There's also a couple reveals that also came out of nowhere, and frankly, were kinda dumb. Despite all this, I thought the overall story was alright, and there were definitely some great scenes in there. KnS was also much more artistic. | ||

The manga's ending is just so fucking garbage and i wish i didn't know about its existance and only knew about the anime  The anime was everything i expected it to be and i kind of wish there had been more as i really liked the characters. What a cute show. | ||

Did have some Mai but not all that much. The headphones girl isn't actually as bad as I thought. As in: I thought she and the loli are really bad but the last couple seconds kinda made me ... not dislike her? The loli is still bad. Still overall an incredibly mediocre show. | ||

Looks like the MC can make his own water, wow. :D Lots of funny things in this episode, like I love how Megumin fired at the castle every day but had to get carried back after every single shot. Also the MC blaming Aqua for being useless was funny. :D In the end I hoped Megumin would use her explosion magic on Dullahan, but I guess that'd have been suicide. :D Aqua lifting the curse was a WTF moment, but after she went back to doing useless party tricks as usual. =) I, like the MC and Megumin, kinda hoped they'd go for the castle now, but that's probably gonna happen later anyways. | ||

+ Show Spoiler [only about this episode] + Aqua wanted to get some money from Kazuma, basicly told him that she's aware that he's a teenager who has his urges and knows what he's doing at night in the stables while she pretends to be asleep. That's usually quite a scene that leads into a lot and here they just had it hinted at with her basicly blackmailing him. Just hope that doesn't mean the actual scene gets cut out if we do in fact get there... That was the most glorious scene in all of KonoSuba and what I told Emnjay about to try and sell this. And it's right at the beginning of LN2 (I think?) so we could actually get it since LN1 if they keep up this pacing... won't last for langer than ep7 I think? | ||

Apparently Aqua still has some of her goddess pull; I'm starting to think she's just too air-headed and lazy to use it. Darkness is great. Megumin exploding things was good; but I'm wondering, what happened to the full chunni eye patch? | ||

+ Show Spoiler + I literally do not care about incest, it doesn't bother me in the least but it also doesn't interest me, so i'm fairly whatever on the issue. And hell i even read minamoto-kun monogatari where MC is almost certainly going to end up with his aunt and i have no problems with that, infact that's probably the best ending that series could have. But usagi drop was a cute slice of life series about having to raise a kid, it wasn't some otaku pandering fanservice paradise, it was cute, comfy and clearly focused on the parental bond between the two main characters. As far as i'm concerned having the two end up together just doesn't fit together with the series at all and just kind of sours the experience as a whole. As far as i'm concerned the ending is just pure garbage for this series. I mean imagine barakamon where Handa ends up with Haru, nobody sensible would want that kind of ending from that kind of series. | ||

When Airi was speaking with the manager, the guy talking to the manager (face wasn't shown) looked way too suspicious after he even followed Airi. I knew she was going to die after that scene. Damn it though, I liked Airi. Guess it's time for another time travel back to the past soon. Another fairly good episode! | ||
