I need my share of cute loli girl doing weird cute shit. I guess you're okay with lolis as long as they're just cute and not more than that? What about your hate on other lolis for being loli? Is that because they're sexualized in that case? Also the anime is good. Get's pretty KyoAni later on but the first half was legit fun. And man, I'm still only watching 2shows this season, need more stuff... You mentioned that I might like Aquarion evol. So just start with s1 or should I pick something else? MAL rating for the 2nd seems to be on SchoolDays niveau so not sure if you were trolling lol Worst case I can shit on Mecha in here in a week or so, can't be that bad
I don't think I saw a single genuine recommendation for aquarion in here. Pretty much everyone said it was trash, even those that were looking forward to it.
Give Osomatsu-san a try instead. Currently the strongest show behind OPM for me this season. Speaking of which: The second half of ep9 was a big surprise. + Show Spoiler +I didn't expect it at all to get me emotionally moved. Also a lot of "show instead of tell" here, very well done. The thing where Osomatsu figured out her job and the hint and exchange of her wrist bandages....I thought Osomatsu-san was a full blown parody and gag-show but now it actually stepped on serious territory in genuine and statisfying way.

Emnjay was a huge Aquarion fanboy back when EVOL aired. Dunno if that is still the case.

After the kinda silly mermaid arc the new Monster Musume was pretty good. Lala~

Aquarion EVOL was legit fun to watch. Despite my track record of recommending troll anime, this was a serious rec.
LOGOs on the other hand... Ya... Better if they never made that anime tbh.

Man, Perfect Insider is pretty interesting. I think it's my favorite this season.

The dialouge is starting to get old in Bakemonogatari. Dunno, feels very formulaic and repetitive, despite it's unique tone in the beginning. I'll be honest and say that I'm bored. That the story is quite predictable so far doesn't help, either. Oh well, one episode left.

So looking forward to watch that once it finished airing. 2 weeks left!

Only 1 reason to watch Aquarion EVOL and that is Zessica.
|
As far as Kayano Ai voicing Mikono... Didn't everyone hate her? IIRC Zessica was the fan favorite.

+ Show Spoiler [Subete ga F 9] +Daughter confirmed. That much was expected. Her being Dr. Shiki's "imposter" was also expected.
I thought the cart was used as the escape, and that the body was for the shock factor to enable said escape. I guess it was only intended to draw attention away from the elevator?
The whole timeshift thing explains why the escape wasn't recorded, but it doesn't explain why the guard didn't catch the door opening.
The rationale behind the robot is dumb. Its only use is to unlock a door? Come on.
Nishinosono annoys the hell out of me.

I think the short stories in each arc about the girls count as stories.

Bakemonogatari serves more as an introduction to most of the main cast. A core theme is "you can only help yourself"(what's the actual saying miragee?:<) which if you were paying attention to you'd realize the only girl shown so far that actually has done this is Hitagi so outside of her it's just introducing the cast and their issues. If you aren't enjoying it now then you won't enjoy it later really. It's all about the girls talking smack to each other mostly.
How did episode 12 make you blow your load everywhere then grin like an idiot for months? Crab what a Goddess dammit.

Eh, I'm not good with sayings in english but you are probably looking for something akin to "you can only change yourself" (yeah, I just exchanged one word...). I think there are a lot of sayings around that sentiment.
It's actually quite sad if I think about it but Hitagi was the only one carrying the show. I enjoyed all the conversations involving her. The conversations with all the other characters were quite plain and, as I said, felt formulaic and repetitive. Long parts of them felt like stupid one-liner banters from battle shounens with adjusted context. Well, Oshino was decent as well but he had even less screen time than Hitagi I think. Maybe I set my expectations a bit too high but when I think of series with great, engaging dialouge I think of shows like GitS, Spice & Wolf, LotGH, HxH and such. The only character that got close to that level was Hitagi and she didn't even have partner on her level because everyone else had the esteemed intellect of a toast. Welp, I guess I'm a bit too salty right now because I expected engaging dialouge the whole way through from a dialouge driven show but didn't get that. I will wait a bit and assess the whole thing again then but right now I'm not feeling like continuing with the Monogatari series.
Was ep12 the one with the date? If yes, that was great imho.

Did you seriously just say that Hunter x Hunter has better dialogue than Bakemonogatari? I can only feel sad that you are unable to appreciate the masterpiece that is Bakemonogatari to its fullest potential.
