Depending on wether or not you saw everything of S2, that's why we had the recap episodes inbetween (could very well be you didn't see them either in whatever batch you picked, as only very few people ended up subbing those). It was planned to adapt Hanamonogatari within S2 of the anime at first. They however decided that that'd be stupid for a TV release and kicked it out of the season, which is why we got 4 recap episodes instead to fill those already planned but canned episodes. Reasoning being probably that Hanamonogatari kind of soilers a bunch, like + Show Spoiler + Kaiki still being alive and the (obvious) conclusion that Araragi + all (well... I guess most) others are still alive and such The original order within S2 is: Vol.1: Nekomonogatari: Shiro Vol.2: Kabukimonogatari Vol.3: Hanamonogatari Vol.4: Otorimonogatari Vol.5: Onimonogatari Vol.6: Koimonogatari so as you can see it wouldn't even be in last place and would have even happened before Nadeko's arc had they done it like the books. | ||

Also it's such a pivotal moment to the story so I find it hard to believe it'll be just because the VA died. | ||

So when the VA died, LotGH had already finished airing for half a year. I didn't read the novels (they aren't even translated, are they?) but I doubt they did it because the VA died. On another note: + Show Spoiler [LotGH as of ep103] + Oberstein always continues growing to be one of the best villainous characters in anime. I really hate him but he does some amazing things. That dialouge with Bittenfeld in ep103, wow. Also, Osomatsu-san is apparently getting another cour right after the one running atm. I'm quite glad about this because it's definitely one of the more decent gag comedies I have seen. It's also going to reinforce Winter16 which is currently looking quite pathetic. | ||
