Monogatari: + Show Spoiler + It's left as an open question regarding Kaiki - all we know for certain is that he gets stabbed at the end of the "final boss" business, and later shows up unexpectedly much more athletic in order to impart some information to Kanbaru in the future. I'm not entirely sure if he's actually dead and a ghost (like Hachikuji) or if he was saved by someone later.
Also, speculation regarding Ougi is that she's neither a boy or a girl, but something else. Or at least, that was my speculation then, and it remains so now.
And yeah, Hanamonogatari is well after the other events in the show so far, with Araragi off at college driving that lemon yellow bug. If you look at the scenery from the first episode you'll see that there's much less snow as well. It's certainly not deep winter in late december/early january anymore the moment he's telling the story. So there has had to be some time inbetween. Even if just a couple days for the weather to change so that snow melts and all that.

Clearly, you guys guys are much more aware than me when watching the show haha. It feels like I'm missing alot though, because they speak alot so I have my eyes fixed on the subs

Oh well, you'll inevitably realize more of those things if you start watching the episodes at least 3 times because you ABSOLUTELY want to know what's written in the short frames inbetween and there's just no way to get it all if you have to focus on the text.
So no, don't think it's that we pay more attention to that, it's just that lots of people here have already watched it a bunch more and you're just marathoning it all in one go

I've watched monogatari around 5 times now. Senjou never ceases to amaze me.
The Kaiki thing is just one of those situations where you either see it or you don't. I have a friend who thought the same as you but then when I mentioned to him he facepalmed. Just one of those silly situations that happen sometimes lol.
Now we both just want lewd ecchi shows ;(. Freaking Japan's love for suffering and tragedy broke us.

I'm not watching airinggatari. Will wait for it to end then power watch it all at once. That way I maximize the Gahara potential. Also BD shaft just looks sexy. Still need to rewatch the last 2 and SS, well SS past snake. I kind of stopped the last rewatch when I hit her arc. Sigh she's too crazy.

Shinobu mail (the next 6 episodes?) at least should have some Shinobu so that's something. Inb4 same as Shinobu-Time with literally 0 shinobu-time.

Last monogatari I watched had like 30 seconds of Gahara but it was the most glorious 30 seconds. In fact the best 30 seconds of many months right there. What a Goddess.
In other news I'm being a hermit alone at home and almost finished all of Soma today. Pretty fun anime. Expected it to be lewder than it is which is a bit disappointing but oh well. From what Yanger tells me the manga if pretty far ahead so is there another season coming?

The anime didn't have amazing sales but they weren't awful either, the manga's selling like crazy though.
So, maybe. Nobody knows though and it probably wont happen for another year if it happens.

As far as the change in weather conditions, the first episode did start off in Okinawa, which is (from what I can guess regarding where Naoetsu Private High School is) pretty much a warmer place entirely. And given that portions of the narration from other characters comes from aberrations such as the sawari neko, I'm not going to completely discredit the idea of him being dead while telling the story and then later on when he's able to outrun Kanbaru repeatedly. I'm pretty sure the abs from him in that shower were a lie, though.
I just want all the of it to be out so I can go back and watch it all again, in chronological order, and try to piece together the overarching PLOT. I've watched the entire series three or four times now - and probably will do that again after the end of this season.

I'm listening to the Guilty Crown soundtrack now, and holy crap it is amazing. It really is a shame the anime isn't good, kind of the same thing with Zankyou no Terror

Garo: + Show Spoiler +I'm really not that much of a fan of this new Garo. I like the characters, but I miss a) epic fights and b) a coherent story. This episode, once again, the horror died in one strike. Pretty meh, even if it looks pretty.
As for the story, I'll have to admit the last 2-3 episodes are somewhat related, let's see how it goes. Doubt it will become as good as the first Garo's story though.

Sawano's kind of become a big-time composer now who's doing all the big-time anime...AoT, Aldnoah, Guilty Crown, Kill la Kill...
Definitely a distinctive orchestral + techno style. Haven't heard a single soundtrack from him that wasn't amazing.
Edit: Of course his song titles always look like someone rolled their head across a keyboard.
