Maybe you read more than me than, but I still think I've read a large enough amount to get what's good and what's not, at least for my personnal tastes :p And I do consider Magi one of the best weekly release nowadays : art is really good, lore and background is rich and original, MCs are greats, and current plot is epic imho. | ||

It didn't have a bad guy. Well I guess the Alliance's politicians were the bad guys and they were pretty generic sleazeballs. They did get a bit better later on I guess. New bad guy is more about needing a common enemy to unite than social commentary though. | ||

It was always about how he was basically a Reinhard light born slightly too early to seize power like Reinhard did yet still has that feeling of disappointment that he didn't do it. It's never been a case of if Reuental will betray him but more when will his control over his ambitions finally break. I think they could have toned down since it was already a given earlier in the series but sometimes authors like to really drive home the foreshadowing so even dense people can see it. | ||

That's fair. I do have issue with Magi in that storytelling is inconsistent and author tends to asspull when write into a corner. While I agree Magi is one of the better shounen action manga going on, I have trouble placing it in top 50 manga all time, nevermind top 5. I don't see Uchuu Kyoudai in your list though, and if you are not reading that it's definitely worth check out. | ||

I might have be unclear haha, I think Magi is in the top5 of the manga still releasing weekly to this date ^^ It's not in my top10 of all time, might be in my top20 though. Thank you for your recommandation, I really enjoy Sci-Fi and Space genre, and there isn't much of high quality nowadays. Definitly give it a try. | ||

I read Berserk recently though, and in one go so it might have biased my feeling about it. Reading it in one go though made it easily in my top5 of all time, the universe is so dark, guts is so good... But yeah, I'm pretty sure that if I had to read it so sporadicaly like you guys did, It would've lost its charm real fast. The Breaker:New wave was so good, especially the art. The way martial fight were done was jawdropping, and some character had some of the best charisma I ever saw on a manga. | ||
