Yeah my thoughts exactly, 1 whole episode just for Kabuto and House of Evolution was kinda dragged out. Still great though.

Having not read the manga I noticed no issues with pacing in the ep. Think it was fine.

Heroic Age is good. BUT in my humble opinion, there was a lot of missed potential with it. It has great music, a great setting and what not. But I feel like a lot of stuff that could have been really cool just ends up getting made to seem trivial due to + Show Spoiler +Space Godzilla being as retardly powerful as it is.

Is complain about slow pacing the new hipster anime meta?
I'm legit curious now. A couple years ago 90+% of complain about pace is that things get rushed, the only show ever talked as being slow is Monster. Now the pacing is faster than ever and anime longer than 2 cur does not exist anymore but we are going the other way?

If thats the new hip thing to do, I need to get on the ball

Seems we've been left off the hipster list. Need to up our game.
In other news. When on earth does Mariendorf seal the deal with Reinhard. I'm just waiting patiently but dammit a man can only wait for so long. This woman is too dam good to not get wifed already.

Another reason why Mittermeyer is the best.

Yeah, that's because there was one single scene that was dragged longer than in the manga. + Show Spoiler +The one where Saitama realised that it was already Saturday and that he would miss the sales... Aside from that it was maybe the closest adaption to the manga yet.
Btw. how far are you with your LotGH rewatch? I'm at almost 80 now and wondering if you are ahead of me already.

I'll agree that that scene was the only thing that bothered me a bit in that OPM episode. It was dragged so long that I knew something stupid was coming. Idk if it is less obvious in the manga. Still kinda funny.

To give you an idea, the original joke went for 6 pages from the moment Saitama got punched by Kabuto, though there's one page dedicated to action. How it was delivered in the anime felt dragged on for too long to me as well. If you want to see how it was delivered, look at chapter 11.

At 55. If she hasn't gotten the D by then omfg. I don't remember it taking this long. The real war in this is Greenhill vs Mariendorf. I know which camp I'm in. Everyone else is wrong.
edit: Oh is anyone watching the Gay Vampire bait show? Wonder if s2 is any better.

LOL
Which gay vampire show are you talking about? There are two this season. I watched like 2 minutes in the middle of an episode of one of them and called it quits and they raped a girl calling her bitch-chan...

Whoa wtf. The one from last season. Seraph something. What vampire rape are you watching Miragee geez.

Oh, forgot about Seraph. Then there are 3 this season.
I don't know which one it was that I watched but I don't think I want to remember anyways...

I wouldnt know. Not sure what hipster anime meta's are in the first place. Honestly the saturday special joke even if you didnt know it was coming was a bit of a flop because they built it up so much. Thats was the major (if you can call it) that pain point.

Hii
Just finished Neon Genesis Evangelion.
+ Show Spoiler +Well, it was pretty good, but nothing stellar. Up until the last two episodes, that is. I didn't even watch, I just skipped through all the philosophical bullshit, which made me skip straight to the credits.
I have not yet watched End of Evangelion. I plan to (unfortunately spoiled myself some of it while looking up the absolutely confusing last two episodes).
I'm not sure what to think of this one. It's good, but I have no idea what the hell happened at the end. I'm just going to assume that the last two episodes are the psychological state of the characters after the 16th Angel dies, and that EoE is the real ending to this story. I think the plot is good, but in the end it seems that the Angels weren't really the threat, not as much as the humans themselves, e.g. Seele vs Nerv. Which defeats the purpose of the show, since humans can be dealt with easily whereas mindless aliens cannot.
Did the 16th Angel purposely let itself die to save humanity though? And so prevent the Third Impact? Did the Angel want to die when it realized it was pointless?
None of the characters were particularly interesting, aside from Asuka, Misato and Kaji. The rest of them seem to be too dumb to be alive. Akainu (I recognized the voice actor) seemed to be an asshole but an interesting character. Not sure what his goal was and it certainly wasn't explained in the last two episodes. That guy clearly had an agenda. Was it to resuscitate his wife? I'm not sure. I actually don't know much of anything. I was expecting a darker show than this and a real ending.
Mah, good enough. anyway. thoughts?

+ Show Spoiler +kaworu didnt suicide, the angel hidden in terminal nerv was Lilith, the second angel, not Adam, the first. He was looking for Adam and there wasn't much that he could do at that point. And no, the show isn't dark. I don't know who told you that. It's just a psychological coming of age story. Also, do yourself a favor and watch end of evangelion
