Also, Gon putting a restriction and covenant on himself to defeat Pitou before going into a coma or w/e was something lol.
Ging getting punched by Leorio was hilarious and then having everyone turn on him when he isn't speaking properly to Gong lol. Only part that I disliked about the last arc with Alluka was the fact that I don't ever recall it mentioned that he had another family member. It's been a long time since I've seen the earlier episodes so my memory is hazy but it was never hinted that they had another family member, right? Given, you can argue that's part of the secrecy but even showing a single picture way back then would've made it seem more legit. It felt like it came out of the blue to me and was used mostly to revive Gon and have Killua develop further as a character by taking over the responsibility of caring for her as well as chart his own path away from Gon. Would've liked to see all three of them together for more missions but it's over anyways lol. Ending was pretty good overall. Too bad there isn't much more (manga seems to be an arc ahead though).
Would recommend 10/10!
It was a deus ex machina but dammit if she isn't so adorable I can't even.
Manga is just a little bit into a new arc. We may see a continuation when it reboots in 15-20 years time.

15-20 years? I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG! :p

OPM ep2 was great. I only thought it was sad that + Show Spoiler [from the corresponding manga chapter] +they left out Saitama's inner monolouge in the beginning. Him thinking about how boring it is to beat every enemy with one punch made the mosquito scene that much more funny.^^ The rest was done perfectly imho. And the animation quality sure didn't drop, the action looked amazing.

Hey, really glad you liked HxH!
+ Show Spoiler +I always thought that Gons super-saiyajin move was the only significant asspull in the whole show and I thought it was quite annoying. As for Alluka: As Numy mentioned it was a Deus Ex Machina but at least it was a well explained one. I mean they had her completly cut off from the outside world while also denying the fact that she even was a family member at all. The only one of the Zoldycks who would ever talk about her would be Killua but first of all he is not the talkative kind of guy, secondly he wouldn't want to concern Gon with it (for obvious reasons) and thirdly he wouldn't want to danger Alluka in any way. I think it was fine the way it was but I also remember myself complaining a little bit about it back then to a friend.^^
In 15-20 years Togashi will probably be dead... I think everyone is crossing their fingers for Togashi to get well _and_ get off of his lazy ass and at least write one amazing arc to finish the series. With the lore bomb he dropped in the end of the last complete arc I so want he else had in mind... But yeah, the chances are pretty slim and I get really sad everytime I think about it.
On the note of HxH: HxH2011 got picked up for a dub. Time to get the kids in the west on HxH it seems... I just hope the dub won't be as horrendous as the dub of HxH99. But even if the dub turns out to be decent, nobody will be able to beat Namikawa as Hisoka...

Well Togashi has to actually do some chapters then enough time has to pass to warrant a reboot. 15-20 years sounds reasonable.
OPM was pretty dam hilarious. Sawashiro does sexy crazy so dam well my body gets all hot and bothered.
|
Why would you want a reboot though? I thought the 2011 adaption was pretty much a perfect adaption in every aspect. All I'm hoping for is an adaption of the arc that comes after the one where the current adaption ended.
|
There's not enough material for another arc and by the time there is it'll be so long since the original 2011 adaption that it makes more sense to reboot it much like the reasoning for the original reboot.

That would just mean we would have to wait another 3 years before any new content will be adapted. I don't want to think about this. I could be dead by then. -.-

Well think of it like this timeline
5-10 years - Togashi writes some new shit 10-15 years - Someone decides it's time for some HxH anime
It's not too bad :>. Worst comes to worst,Dragons Quest IX is coming out next year and Togashi adds another 5 years onto that.

Well if you like that the series is being ripped off, put into another country with some asian emo as hero, than yes, it´s pretty good. I hate it

Ripped off? Put into another country? Emo? Uh, what.
None of that really seems to apply to Guren no Tsuki, so i'm a bit confused.

I have an issue with comet lucifer.
+ Show Spoiler +At 5:10ish (ep 2), the two cables both snap.
1) Steel cables do not slowly unravel, a snap should be a catastrophic where one of the coiled steel wires snaps off suddenly and then the rest immediately follow suit due to lacking tensile strength. 2) Why would either of them snap in the middle, let alone BOTH? That is not a stress center (no knot), the snap should occur at either end depending on how the cable is attached to the grappling hook or launching mechanism.
It almost looks like there's an invisible saw cutting through the wires slowly. MUH IMMERSION??

It's science fiction. You have no issue with the flying skateboard, but this is what causes you to boggle?
+ Show Spoiler +I would posit that it's likely that they are not steel cables. It looked to me as if a sheathing layer gave way first, before the stronger core of whatever broke. As for them snapping at the middle, I'm going to say that it was the point of highest tension, as the opposing forces were meeting there. How it was attached likely has something to do with molecular bonding, as again, sci-fi.
I understand some people not liking Felia, but I don't get the issue you've raised.

That island case in Haruhi was so bad... + Show Spoiler +Like they came to a conclusion (which turned out to be false truth later on) that made no fucking sense in the first place. Then when it was out that it was false truth Haruhi didn't take the most obvious thing to say why it didn't make sense but took another that was pretty questionable imho... But ok whatever.

I thought the caps "MUH IMMERSION" would be obvious enough

Psh. People and their physics!
Next thing you'll be saying is that Eva don't obey the laws of physics either.
