I've watched dubbed anime as a kid if it was dubbed into danish and aired here, but outside of that i didn't get into anime until watching TTGL 5 years ago.

I also watched german dubbed animes back when I was a kid/teen. Detective Conan, One Piece, Pokemon, Yugioh... I abandoned anime for a long time when I dropped One Piece because I couldn't stand the pace anymore. I was reintroduced by two friends of mine, who told me independently to watch Fairy Tail again and again until I started watching it back in 2013 I believe. Took them a long time to convince me. This was the first time I watched anime with actual japanese dub. It also took months to convince me (from multiple sides again) to start watch Hunter x Hunter until a friend forced me to watch the first 10 episodes with him when I was over at his house. So glad I did let that happen in the end.
I believe it was only a year back when I discovered that there were a ton of shorter animes when I was introduced to SAO, lol. Since then my backlog of ptw anime is growing faster than I can watch them. T.T

Now that you mention Yugioh I was thinking of something just this week about the show. I watched the english dub of it up until the end of the Duelist Kingdom arc. In the english dub Pegasus calls Yugi "Yugi-boy". So when i thought of that phrase every time he talks to Yugi, I thought to myself does he just say shounen in the japanese dub?

No he said -boy at the end of certain peoples names in the original too.

So I started watching GitS: SAC and now I feel like dropping almost everything from this season immediately or at least put it on hold. Can't bring myself to watch episodes of probably mediocre shows for screening purposes if I could watch something good instead. I guess that's a good thing afterall.

ROFL. SAC is awesome and ye nothing from this season comes close to it obviously. SAC is one of those rare gems that happen every few years. Pity Arise is so awful. Sigh. I need to rewarch SAC.

Started Katanagatari recently, and so far it totally meets my expectations, which of course were pretty high considering a lot of people said it's one of their favorite animes. Fights are awesome, characters are mostly awesome (especially the main chars), and there are hilarious scenes fairly often.
