There's a few standout exceptions but the majority is just bad. I blame the viewers partly, stuff like Toradora gets praised for it's "romance" so it's pretty obvious the viewers are just as awful as the authors. I get having guilty pleasures but it seems like there're so few non-trashy romance manga/anime/novels out there that you can't even call them guilty pleasures anymore as it's the norm. @Wolf - Holy shit I love how in anime everyone just loves each other without ever dating or spending time together. Then in the rare occasion they do become a couple they still hardly spend time or actively go out of their way to be with each other. I'm all for not trying to depict reality but at least SHOW us them being in love instead of just having character state it constantly without any merit to it. roflllll sup
So that makes Highschool DxD not a trashy male power fantasy ecchi harem show, but the pinnacle of anime achievement.

I don't agree that Yuri ending is the Best. Polygamy ending(one guy many girls) is a the best. And if it's not ending then the other preferred end should be normal hetero romance end or bitter ending or tragic end should be the other ending.

So i recently tried hunter x hunter (2011) and (to my surprise cuz i quickly got bored of similar shounen i tried earlier) found it quite enjoyable (especially the new york city arc).
However after the kinda boring greed island arc I arrived at the never ending fight, that seems to unfortunately come up sooner or later in all these shounens, in the ant arc and it's gotten rly boring. Also it's becoming very clear to me that based on the amount of episodes left that I won't be seeing much of a continuation of kurapika's story so I kinda dropped it.
Is it worth watching the rest of it and where to should I skip too so I miss most of the fight left but don't miss something too important?

Ant arc is pretty dragged out yeah. Just skip to the last handful of eps of the ant arc and watch everything after. The stuff after is pretty cool.

There are a lot of random boring fights in the chimera ant arc. I hoped something like this would never happen in HxH but oh well it did. The whole wrap up when they start to fight the end bosses was pretty good though imho. It was dragged here and there but there was a lot of interesting/disturbing/thoughprovoking stuff. The arc that came after was extremly good imho. Not much fighting there, almost exclusively dialouge and man was it good.

Found the entire arc aside from the finale to be a waste. I skipped from the start of it, just after those two people died and Gon and Killua travelled, all the way to the assault on the castle. Aside from their relationship with that one guy, I don't think I missed much of value.
Even then, I skipped almost all of the fights in the castle apart from Gon/Killua and the ant king.
