Based on sales alone we should get a second season. It was between 6k and 8k iirc? The studio however is somewhat inconsistent or so I've heard... wouldn't be surprised if it'll take a while until we get season 2

NGNL sold pretty well iirc. If they do another season they might have to do a little work though, since the very end part with the old deus was entirely made up and flies in the face of the source progression. + Show Spoiler +Since they implied that the twins challenged them to a game (which they haven't even met one of them yet in the source material)

speaking of NGNL my brother and I were having an argument over it the other day. In the first episode right after Tet brings them to the game world, it shows them looking over the cliffs saying "this is just a terrible game" or w/e...then a dragon flies right in front of them. Then the very next scene for only like 1 or 2 seconds it shows the dragon flying off in front of them with a sort of dejected look to it. I was saying that this could mean that before they did anything the first thing they did was beat the dragon thing in a game with the dragon probably being some high ranking race or w/e. So the whole time throughout season 1, they could have this dragon race guy in their back pocket as sort of like an insurance or something and it might come back later on when the make a second season (b/c obviously there's gonna be a 2nd season). Any thoughts?

On January 12 2015 11:56 IceHism wrote: Why isn't anyone watching the currently airing mecha Fafner? The plot is far better than what Aldnoah has.
Aldnoah just has production values. My favorite moment in the new aldnoah zero episode is the Inko-Inaho interactions though. Can i just have a whole episode just dedicated to the two of them having fun. It's a sequel so you gotta the first one though I'm considering it because it looks like a fun anime. Yes, please. Inko-Inaho episode only please! Bigfan plz, you don't even know what Fafner is about, don't recommend stuff you have never seen. On a tangently related note, Fafner is one of those few animes that I can't predict what Bigfan would think of it with 100% certainty. I'm deeply curious what he'd think of it after the first... 4? 5? episodes. Sent plz, I said "sounds like" a good anime indicating that it was just a guess since I read the synposis of it when I was checking what was coming out and it sounded interesting enough (to me lol). I would like to know as well. Will likely put some of my other anime on hold to give it a watch in the upcoming days :D
Actually, I watched the first episode of Fafner : Although I have a bit of hard time following all these characters introduction (I'm guessing they were known to fans of the serie), I thought the concept of fighting against Aliens to be interesting. So far, Aliens look OP. I recall watching Gender Blue anime some years ago and enjoyed it. For people who know Fafner, is it the same genre?

Um well from the source.
+ Show Spoiler +No they just saw the dragon, they didn't interact with it or anything. Dragons are ranked pretty high (higher than Jibril's race iirrc). They haven't interacted with them yet in the source material.
Shinmai Maou no Testament seems pretty meh atm but I guess I will give it another 1-2 more episodes.

Any thoughts? thad would imply they played a game before really knowing the rules of the world. Yes Tet did state all 10 rules to them but they made that quick stop at the 3 guys place to get a proper explanation. I doubt they'd play a game against a dragon of all things before encoutering those 3 guys.

Juuou Mujin no Fafnir is nothing to write home about. This season isn't looking good for me so far.

Fafner isn't really anything like Blue Gender in the least. Its more like Evangelion with a bit of MLA thrown in.

Nothing outside of the ones I picked even came close to looking interesting and I thought most of the ones I picked were dubious at best. This is just not a good season for what I like.

Just watched Rolling Girls and it was pretty fun. Music was pretty good too. I can see why Synapse said it had a KLK feel to it. I am up to 3 shows now!
