Death Parade : For some reason, I found the mysterious setting of the first episode very fascinating. I don't know if they can keep on using the same formula while getting the same result, but this is definitely one of the anime I am looking to this season.

Aldnoah just has production values.
My favorite moment in the new aldnoah zero episode is the Inko-Inaho interactions though. Can i just have a whole episode just dedicated to the two of them having fun.

Probably because its a sequel to an anime that maybe 3 people here have watched, and even fewer liked. I still have the movie on my HDD waiting to be watched. Haven't worked up the motivation to watch it yet.

My guess is that he's just going along with it because he can probably keep the princess safe (medical technology etc...). While it's true that the knights are dumb, I think it's still a fun watch seeing Inaho beat their stupidly OP mechs with great plans  For recommendation, Fafner sounds like it's a good mech anime but it's a sequel.

Bigfan plz, you don't even know what Fafner is about, don't recommend stuff you have never seen.
On a tangently related note, Fafner is one of those few animes that I can't predict what Bigfan would think of it with 100% certainty. I'm deeply curious what he'd think of it after the first... 4? 5? episodes.

Sent plz, I said "sounds like" a good anime indicating that it was just a guess since I read the synposis of it when I was checking what was coming out and it sounded interesting enough (to me lol).
I would like to know as well. Will likely put some of my other anime on hold to give it a watch in the upcoming days :D

Its not even about "sounding like a good anime" or not. He was asking about a "good war anime with both sides being intelligent". If someone asked for an anime like that, would you recommend Evangelion? Of course not.

fair enough. I read his comment earlier and it stuck around as wanting a mech anime recommendation so I just mentioned this one since it's currently airing and sounded interesting ^^

Although not as many shows this season that I am interested in there are a few that I would like to check out. Saekano seems pretty good. All the girls seem interesting, although I have a feeling Megumi will be the most based. Shaft cooking show seems ok so far. The first episode was pretty lackluster. We'll see where Death Parade goes also.

I figured out why Slaine wanted to kill Inaho. He was terrified of Inaho's plot armor, and was afraid that he'd usurp his tenuous position as main character. And as can be seen in the first ep, his fears were quite justified. Slaine is truly Shinn.
Koufuku Graffiti wasn't particularly interesting nor offensive. Decent timewaster maybe.
Of the two characters I care about in Durarara, only one appeared in ep 1, and for a total of two seconds. Didn't even get a line. Well, she showed up in the episode preview, so there's that I guess. I kinda doubt she'll actually show up in any appreciable form until ep 3 though.

It's a Nihei work. Required reading/viewing. Personally, I'd favor the former, but the anime is a decent enough adaptation I suppose. The CG does get kinda sketchy sometimes though.

lol some people on MAL. Had an argument with someone who cornered all critics of aldnoah as being incompetent at deciding what bad writing is and continuing by saying that tagging something as "bad writing" is overly negativ and not objective, even if backed up. Dropped that argument immediately because we wouldn't have come onto the same wave-length. Visited his profile and he rated each anime he has seen 10/10 (about 40 or so). Some people really don't know what criticism means. o.O
