Sequels don't just pop up outta thin air. Some take a long time. Hataraku Maou was like late 2013, it's barely been a year. White Fox just got done with Akame ga Kill and were busy. Hataraku Maou sold well iirc. S2 will come.

That episode was animated in the artstyle of the source material, i quite liked it. I wouldn't mind more episodes in that style in season 2. I hope season 2 gets to the vidya sketch.

Its been 1.5 years already without even an announcement (aired in the Spring 2013), so if they do make a new season it would be probably another year before it comes out. Doubt it though since it was just an anime to see the source (it didn't do that well to warrant a definite sequel).

Durarara from 2010 is getting one, Mushishi from 2005 (!) got one etc., 1.5 years isn't that long.

Only thing is that I would've loved a bit more fighting but overall, it got the right mix of comedy and seriousness. The characters were also all great: + Show Spoiler + It was always hilarious to see Lucifer order stuff and him taking down the priest in the end, had a feeling that he was playing along on purpose so it was great to see that was the case. Also, can't help but love Chiho. One of the bravest anime character that actually confessed her love. I also loved how she told him that despite his history, she loved him prior to knowing and she decides whether to love him or not. Cute stuff lol. Emi is great too and I'm sure they are moving them being together so bracing myself when season 2 comes around. I'm glad you liked it. Already watched it twice (first alone and then with a friend) and it was very enjoyable each time. Agreeing with everything in your spoiler as well.^^ And I would also be surprised if there won't be a second season. Apparently, season 1 was really well recieved and popular.

Personally, I recall reading about there being a season 2 in the works from different websites though haven't had a chance to look into it. Everything takes time though and 1.5 years since s1 doesn't sound that much tbh.

You can mix SOL and drama but the way this show did it was definitely the wrong way to do it, imho.

+ Show Spoiler + -Either didn't introduce the whole war thing or actually properly explored that element -Didn't just force a single episode with drama in and then ignoring it afterwards, have some build-up and tension damnit -Showed some more SOL applications of their powers
