Yeah, it's a 12 ep show. It was unclear for a long time but it seems settled now. I also don't know how a second season would work since afaik it isn't based on a manga or anything but original stuff to begin with. I guess they will do an absolute ending if they haven't decided for a second season already. And if there is no second season, I agree, I really hope it won't feel too rushed.

Yeah, I know the chances are pretty slim for it to not feel rushed. But I don't think it has gotten the popularity to justify the unholy amount of money that seems to get pumped into the project.

Maybe i'm just weird but i never really thought of clannad anime as a "harem". I donno, i always figured it was NagisaXTomoya and the rest of the girls were just their friends or group of friends. It might be just b/c of my experience in high school where i had a g/f, and we hung out with like 4-6 other girls that were both of our friends and their different b/f's. Harem to me (at least when i watched clannad) meant that each of the girls has a chance at the guy/the guy is attracted to or likes each of the girls.

I don't exactly know how the term harem is used in anime. I always thought it was just about a bunch of girls fighting for one guy, you know, like a real harem but under different circumstances. And as said, it wasn't as bad, it only lasted like 3 episodes so that's ok with me.

The anime is pretty harem. In the VN you can get away with ignoring some characters.
This is why every VN adaptation needs to go amagami route.

Concept of Tower of God is very interesting (although sometimes it feels like the author is dragging things). Anything similar?
Gepetto offers an interesting story too, I thought. Not exactly science fiction, but a sci-fi setting. Good Sci-Fi manga?

Clannad Anime basically goes through most of the routes, which does make it feel like a bit of a disjointed harem show

I would have suggested kubera but unlike ToG when the webtoon got licensed they didn't bother translate to the latest chapter.
But if you do find a place that is hosting all the chapters that were originally translated by thecompany then you should give it a read, its like neither of the two but you should still give it a go.
