I have a feeling that this is going to be bad. I feel like Near could be ok but Mello is a retard and doesn't make any sense. "In my theory there are 2 death notes, one with the police and one with kira", no shit sherlok and what is your theory based on? Also some annoying partner/misa scenes. Why? This anime was quite good until now, even though I think it's fairly overrated on MAL.
Death note is one of those overhyped shows that a lot of people who never watched anime before watch first then think it's amazing so it gets rated really highly. Yea it goes full retard too which sucks. I think they could have ended it I think around ep 17 or wherever that one event happens and it would have been good. Feels they just milked it for cash.
As a side note that's why AoT is so highly rated.
Hm I guess you are right. : / I had to look up what AoT is. Now I feel dumb, lol. I think it kinda deserves a good rating although I would agree again that it is way overrated on MAL.

For bahamut: I wanted to see it earlier today when I came home from university. It wasn't up back then so I couldn't. Then I went out, doing sports etc. and when I came back I didn't even think about it until I saw your comment in this thread. Saved me a lot of disappointment I guess. :D
Well I plowed through SAO. Seemed like they breezed through a bunch of stories to stuff as many of them as possible into the 25 eps. Even the climax of ending the game seemed so fast and just come and gone like its no big bloody deal. Basically glazed over all the little things that build the story and people.

Its not like shes insanely talented and can voice anything, like Nakahara Mai or Tanaka Rie, and its not like her voice is angelic like Tamura Yukari or Yui Horie. The closest I can see her niche being is maybe having a 'different' sounding voice, like Mamiko Noto or Saori Hayami? IDK. Its not that shes bad or anything, but I've never heard her in anything that stood out or make me think, "Damn, now THATS a voice actress".
Your first big mistake is misunderstanding what fandom means and entails. It doesn't need to have a logical reason or even a metric it uses. A fan can just be a fan because they like something for a reason they can't fully describe. Second is taking our comments literally. When saying she "saved" a trash anime that is obviously exaggeration. The anime is still trash. It merely means there was some enjoyment from a fan of her by hearing her act another character.
Honestly I think you highly overthink something pretty simple. It's like how I like Chiwa Saitou now largely in part because I love Hitagi but I grew to like the VA herself.
We aren't really going to start making assumptions about assumptions, are we? IDK why you would think I was taking any comment literally about her saving an otherwise trash anime.
A single person can be a fan of something for any possible reasons, and you can't measure it, sure. But when you start getting lots of people being fans of something, and you have a swelling fanbase, normally you are able to see some sort of commonality or factor that is resulting in a lot of fans. For instance, while I don't really care for them personally, I can see why Hanakana or Kugimiya Rie have lots of fans. But for Sawashiro Miyuki? All I can tell is she has a voice that's kind of different from the norm, but IDK why that would result in her being the new Hanakana.

Her ship has sailed long time ago just let her be the homey wife that way. Now i can see why people who read the novels said the development of the story sucks so hard (compared to AW, usually).

World trigger#6: Apparently i heard that they want to push this to become the next 'naruto' (and it totally deserves that expectation, the war arc just finished lately was DAMN good) but hey wtf give them more budget or hire some better anime team??? The graphics are some next level laziness that i havent seen one for awhile. But i do remember naruto anime at the beginning was pretty mediocre so i am not entirely sure now). Well hope that they spend more money on the later story, I am guessing the season will end somewhere near the current manga chapters (ED spoiled quite abit of it).

In general? Yeah, I'd say its better than the anime... I wouldn't say significantly, though. I'm not much of a fan of the anime at all, but at least with the LN there were parts I liked. Specifically, the first volume was decent, and the 2nd volume was passable as a side story volume, and the most recent arc (Alicization) had some potential. I've commented on this before, but SAO1 put in a lot of pacing-breaking side stories into the first volume (going chronological order, rather than production), and of those side stories, cut out a lot of stuff. Like for example, the part with Sachi in the anime pretty much cut out Kirito's suicidal level grind, among other things. The Murder Mystery arc of SAO was supposed to show off a character who would later become the main villain of GGO, but the anime pretty much completely glossed over that. Even ALO, which was pretty bad even in its source, cut out a sizable chunk, and only recently gave a cliff-notes summary of cut events in SAO2.
