AoT is a better action show while still being mindless for example. SAO is about dutchwives, pandering and trying really hard to act like it's a game.

Even if they are like 12 and can barely hold hands out of embarrassment they will call themselves lovers. I always associated that particular term with two people who are at the point where they are having sex. Well a lover is a person in a romantic or sexual relationship. The two aren't always the same. It's a confusing term really and shouldn't be used unless you want both. It definitely has a more sexual connotation I think as you talk about married people having "lovers" in regards to mistresses or your "lover" as a person you engaged sexually with instead of just saying a SO/GF/BF which has a less sexual connotation. Anime romance for the most part is atrocious and can barely be called romance so using a term like "lovers" is hardly their biggest issue.

Yea thats my point, I just always thought it was weird they were using that term (and its used pretty widely) especially when its a couple on the young side its still used. Dunno if thats a translation thing or and industry thing or w/e.

Perfect time for Ange to try and make an escape after she finally fixed her relationship with most of them lol. Also, Tusk, guess he got exempted from participating after whatever happened to his family and such? We don't have much on his backstory so hopefully we get more in the upcoming episodes. All in all, a good episode and it showed how teamwork is important. Had a chuckle when Ange who was obviously delirious came to fight and managed to stay alive. Here's to a family reunion next episode! + Show Spoiler [Ange] + this Ange plot twist. Sylvia is in trouble, new type of DRAGONs, Libertus event sound like some sort of ending event or revolution. Hilda sidekick sudden turn, while expected, was a bit underwhelming. Still Hilda probably gonna pull one last move before finally accept reality, really want to see what she will do. This show only gets better and better

I only watched SAO I so far but I thought, for an anime that tries for quite a bit of stupid fan service/harem themes it looks quite aesthetic of how the characters are drawn. Mostly proportional right instead of ridiculous (and ugly) proportions.

Out of the recentish rage over fantasy worlds that work like games danmachi is definitely one of the best executed ones. Sword Oratoria also turns out to be a good way to get Ainz time, it is like people learned from Index. How long before it turns shit like everything good eventually does~ well the 5th volume (translation) is long overdue considering the historical release timing, guess they're busy with the side story should I read the novel or manga for sword oratoria anyone recommend the shield hero or mushoku tensei? I heard former is way overrated and angsty, latter is pretty decent.

Tate yuusha is like oregairu but even more emo in a fantasy setting. Neither are particularly great but I'd say latter is worth more time reading. At least the combat is somewhat better. Sword oratoria manga is drawn decently, if that gets scanlated regularly you might as well as just use that.
