It's like a magical girl anime but it feels so much like Madoka...(except maybe a little less dark than madoka). It might turn out just as good though, there's still like 6 episodes left. I am watching it. I don't think it will end up like madoka at all but i'm still waiting for the glorious twist. More surrealist direction instead of nitty gritty dark would be what i'm expecting out of it. Not sure what to think about it though since Takahiro(Majikoi, Akame ga kill, etc) is the concept maker. well i wasn't really saying yuki is gonna run down the same story as madoka, but i just get the same eerie queazy feeling while watching it...like that big twist axe is gonna drop and i just can't figure out when or how. It's more like i'm hoping it turns out to be as good as madoka (which is a pretty tall order). + Show Spoiler [ep. 5] +They absolutely shoulda killed off the older sister. I was convinced it was gonna happen after they showed the littler sister drop her bag and the death card was the only one to land face up. + Show Spoiler + the tarot card doesn't always mean death in a literal sense. It can also mean change. But I think they really wanted to troll people with that scene. + Show Spoiler +True, i've heard that the tarot death almost never actually means death literally. it's like the death of the old you/birth of the new you (or like the death of your old job, or whatnot). Still, i think it would've made for a better overall show if that happened and then like Yuki became the leader and had to join that gov't group that older sister was in. The story is very good imo. It's got like 5 magical girls and each has distinctly anime characteristics (the tsundere, the loli, the FemC, and the FemC's sick/paralyzed friend, etc.). 1 cour i believe but it's moving at a good pace (a little rushed but not too bad). The animation is like average or barely above average but it has this awesome coloration that makes everything look a lot better. The action in episode 2 was so well animated tho :o
definitely but im still left wondering if it's b/c of the animation alone or does the coloring make the animation look better?
Anyways, i just finished re-watching Magi season 1 and I had a question i didn't think of the first time through.. + Show Spoiler +So is Hakuryuu Aladdin's 2nd king candidate then? Here's my reasoning: The whole point of the dungeons is for a magi to lead a king candidate through/select their candidate. Ali-baba is Aladdins king candidate but, the other 2 magi's (judal and that girl) both have multiple king candidates. It could then be argued that since Aladdin was the magi that went into the dungeon with hakuryuu, and then hakuryuu was the one that found the treasure/got the djinn Zagan, that makes Hakuryuu Aladdin's second king candidate. Anyways i thought of that and became curious if that comes back probably at the end of the whole thing when they finally face Hakuryuu after he turns bad (or at least im assuming based on the end of season 2 )
I might have answered my own question but any thoughts? lol

me and icehism
I donno what you like so i donno if you'd like it or not. It's got good animation, good coloring, typical magical girl characters, a decent storyline. It has a feeling i can't shake like everythings gonna turn dark or something (which is how Madoka feels, so i've been using that as a comparison).
I've been enjoying it a lot. you should probably just check it out

Sounds good thanks.
On a site note been watching Yuru Yuri and can't help feeling there's some dark shit going on in the background. The pink hair girl does scary drawings and the first thing that pops into her mind when asked what's scary is "father?". Then the hyper blonde is always sleep over at the other girls place. Please tell me it stays happy :<

lol, there is nothing to worry about in Yuru Yuri. At least not in season 1 (that's the only one I have seen and I probably won't watch another one).

Watched the first episode of Nanatsu. Well that was kinda boring and cheesy except the end. Is it getting better?

It has a very JRPG feel and i'm enjoying it a ton, one of the surprises this season for me.
Edit: + Sawano soundtrack.

It's pretty fun if you like something akin to Fairy Tail style adventure fighting. It doesn't take itself too seriously.

I watch Nanatsu for Hawk.

Ok, thank you guys. I can enjoy "FT style adventure fighting" as long as the characters don't annoy me (which was kind of the case in the first ep) and the plot is moving forward. I think I will give it another few episodes.

Oh hey, didn't realize there was a Trinity Seven anime going on. I liked the manga (haven't read it in a while, though), how's the adaptation?

I haven't read the manga myself but from talking to people that have they say it's a fine adaption although maybe a bit too quickly paced
