Only watched 5-10 minutes of Kokkuri but thought it was decently funny. That's what you get for trying to patch it yourself. You probably need to install Japanese language pack for windows and use applocale (you can get applocale for win7, but not sure about win8). Or you can get prepatched version.
You can just rename the folder + crack exe file to remove the Japanese forward slash, and it'll work without Japanese locale I believe. Or just install pApplocale.

honestly it was the product from that era where people actually have the patience to read/play stuffs like that. if FSN released in 2014 i am pretty sure nobody would notice it no matter how good it actually is.

What. There are still people alive who don't have the attention span of a goldfish and can actually sit through a story. I get that people don't read these days and can't watch shows that don't shove story in their faces otherwise they get confused bu there are still a small collection of folk who aren't like that. I like to believe we'll one day end up in a world where that's the norm instead of the outlier.

it was back in the era when we took ages to stream/download a porn haha that was my point . but ya it would be loved/recognized by the right crowd if it was released in 2014 but i doubt it would have this gigantic popularity

?_? there are still new VNs that gain traction, it's rare for anything to become that big regardless of medium. It's not the norm. But if something good was released today it'd be sure to also get attention. VNs are not some dead genre or anything.
