for some reason his dialogue makes me physically cringe, and I ended up giving up on the entire series even though I was watching the entire thing on ff. so I'm wondering, is his character portrayed just as badly in the vn? is there any growth on his part that makes reading it worth my time? as a side note a friend of mine maintains that shiro has irreparable brain damage throughout the VN and I heard there's some ridiculous pandering thirsty concepts + Show Spoiler + sex as a means to regain mana smfh maybe I just have strange opinions. | ||

Shiro is a moron the majority of the time but has a few moments in UBW and HF routes. Yes sex is in the VN, don't think it's particularly bad in UBW. Fate had some weird threesome if I remember correctly. Didn't really phase me honestly, it's just sex, so it shouldn't change your enjoyment of the series. | ||

sex itself isn't really an issue. I hate sounding condescending and overly critical considering the retarded animes I find amusing/entertaining, but I just think it's actually embarrassing that the author chose to use it as a virgin pandering vehicle disguised as plot device. eh whatever | ||

They didn't butcher it as much as had to condense it a lot in order to fit it within a movie so think of it more as the "highlights" of the route than an actual adaption of the whole thing. | ||
