[14:07:18] <Toad|> why does it look like cancer http://i.imgur.com/mlcYzJB.png[14:07:18] <Toad|> 8( [14:07:37] <KazeHydra> because deen [15:59:36] <Voren> Animation sure did take a nose dive now that Studio Deen has taken over
I'll have to check on season 1 again to make sure I'm not just in some nostalgic dream about how awesome it was when it really wasn't but I don't recall it looking so bad

Season 1 wasn't amazing animation wise, it was average with some pretty backdrops. This first episode look just meh at best.
Not that I didn't enjoy it. Looks like they decided to merge the sixth and seventh volumes. Which is good, because the sixth was pretty shit. I think Akatsuki as a character is fine, probably my favourite female character in the whole thing, but she can't carry a story line all by herself. ._.

yeah, aside from some visuals the episode was fine. Funnily enough I thought some things even looked better than in season 1 (Minori and Akatsuki anyone?). But the bad things just stood out a lot more.
Still a good episode all in all.

Is the last third of LH S1 worth watching? I gave up after I got extremely bored of the whole goblin arc thing. It was so fking boring.
|
If you didn't like two thirds of the show then it might not be a show for you. I thought almost all of season 1 was great outside of some of the scrub squad stuff + the whole cake episode.
|
Yea i liked all of it except anything with the noob team and that little elementary girl. I guess that's like half the show though hmm.

I think the last 3rd got better once it got over all the background story and info dump, not very well done but watchable, . May as well just finish it since you are there already

Gundam: G no Reconguista: + Show Spoiler +not bad to start. Though I prefer the more quiet MC, I'm sure MC will become more modest and I'm already starting to like him lol. The art style feels different, guess less defined but it also feels unique so that's growing on me as well. Now just need to see more of the story

Didn't even know that's possible oh haha well, not like it's hard to guess my MAL XD It's fine, I don't really mind ^^

I decided to give Vanadis a try, i'll give it another episode or 2, nothing really spectacular.
its got PLOT. does anyone know anything about it?

It's your pretty standard harem fantasy, more emphasize on fantasy than harem. Story is OK and has an epic feel to it. Closest comparison recently would be Chaika?
Log Horizon is jumping all over the place. It looks to do vol 6 / 7 (which are same time chronologically) simultaneously? And trying to fit short stories where they can I guess.

I really like chaika though.....then again I had knowledge of it beforehand.

Vanadis is pretty decent if you like that genre, until your standard "memory lose" arc. Just ask Eca >.< Doubt anime can cover to that point though.

Terraformers: + Show Spoiler +dang, well, doubt they would've let all 100 on Mars lol. An ok episode overall. I was hoping we won't spend a ton of time on the ship which was good. They also did a good job establishing just how terrifying those roaches are though I would've liked to see a small fight before it ended. The roaches are pretty smart though going after the drugs and such. Wonder how they'll survive this encounter. Hoping that next episode is full of fighting roaches seeing where we end and how things are in general.

Buddy Complex Season 2 + Show Spoiler +That was a decent ending. The only thing that was kind of lame is how Bizon just had an A.I. version of himself in his mech. I thought that there was going to be another one of him from the past or future in there which allowed him to connect with himself. That would have been way cooler.
Also, is there a Bizon who went back in time? So, he could still kill Aoba in the past, and neither Aoba or Hina remember anything from the future.

Still looking forward to the next episode

This one is already a bit gruesome even with all the censoring lol. Still, I also am looking forward to the next episode

+ Show Spoiler +Chronologically, it's something like, college Hina and Aoba meet, become all lovey lovey and work on science together. They both do that coupling experiment thing, and Hina gets sent 70 years into the future.
The entire first season of of Buddy Complex happens only to Hina, then she jumps back into the time warp at the end with Bizon, and we get the entire first season of Buddy Complex that WE saw. After 70 god damn years, he still holds a grudge for Aoba NTR'ing him.
Magically for the sequel, she escapes the time loop and joins Aoba for these 2 episodes we see. Bizon apparently stayed alive for those 70 years to be the jealous asshole we see now and blows shit up.
In the last battle, Aoba and Dio win that last battle using magic time travel bs, and creates another time warp that sends Aoba and Hina back to guess when? BACK TO THE FUCKING START. They meet again in college, so basically it's going to loop ALL OVER AGAIN.
At least, that's what I got from watching it.

At least, that's what I got from watching it. It's not quite a loop, if you remember hina returns from the original time travel in the armor after having experienced everything. The aoba and hina now in college end up sending hina into the future, this hina then experiences everything and returns after the experiments.
I mean i guess it's a loop in some ways but the end result is still hina returning and living the rest of her life with aoba.
Someone else explaining it: "Hina arrives in 2014 (and there are two of them for a while), Bizon arrives months later, Hina kills Bizon and leaves with Aoba. Aoba arrives back from the future, goes to college, meets original Hina, does the experiment, loses original Hina, regains final Hina. Bizon arrives again in 2018 to begin his 70 years of rage. Original Bizon is born in like 2068. Loli Hina arrives in 2078. Aoba arrives in 2088. Young Bizon departs from 2088. Final Aoba and Final Hina depart from 2088. "
