So after stopped watching anime for a long time due to work and stuff, I decided to marathon a random anime, which I ended up with Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika, because the cover and art looks nice. 6 episodes in and oh my, this thing is dark. Like super dark psycho stuff. Despite having watched/read Mirai Nikki and NHK ni Youkoso! before. But Madoka is loli and dark, it feels even more psycho T_T. And that Kyuubey cat that grand wishes, wtf does it even think, explaining crazy psycho stuff like some kids' bedtime story. Will it get better as it progress? I am consider whether to continue with it or go watch something else crazy and fun instead. | ||

No, it's probably as happy of an ending as you could get from it, given the situation... that being said it's still a sad one. The ending could have been a lot darker / sadder if they tried to go for that though. Does it get happier? If you're 6 episodes in by now... no it's going to get a lot darker and sadder imo. Episodes 7 and 8 especially were absolutely fantastic for me and the one in the end that focused on homura was really amazing too. If you're 6 episodes in go finish it. It's a good watch and the stuff that's not so good about the series you've already passed. | ||
