I never necessarily thought that. That's why I specifically asked if it was one of those shows that was over rated.
There's still shows that are over rated due to nostalgia & other reasons. GitS deserves it's accolades especially for the time it came from.

I agree 100%. I've only seen a few gits episodes and that was dubbed and i hated it. So maybe i should try the subbed eps and see if i like it. Also, there's some very talented voice actors in american cartoons but nothing in anime crossovers. The good ones are in like futurama, simpsons, some cartoon network shows and so on.

there were actually several anime that I think the dub was better for, escape my mind atm but I do agree that in general, sub > dub.

There was an anime or two that we were mentioned in this thread a while back as being better. I just didn't keep them in mind. I think db/dbz was one as well though I won't claim that with 100% certainty.
