Don't waste your breath on this matter, people will throw fits as long as it fits the definition of incest regardless of context. It is more of a subconscious reaction than anything.

The art was why I bothered with Akame in the first place, though the premise helped. Then the mangaka sold out.
And in fairness, Jormungand's mangaka does not have a style I would necessarily describe as aesthetically pleasing. It's like how Ping Pong had shit art because the source also has shit art. Now yowamushi pedal, there's an example of an anime that actually managed to improve on the original art...

Here is the thing anime despite not having brutal scenes or just semi lewd . Idk about you guys but it still disgust me on a bad degree .. step-siblings and cousins surely they have like little the same blood as you are but the idea still stands and as long as you treat each other as siblings and family and you are blood related then it's repulsive for me (i'm okay with the treat each other as siblings but non-blood related and develop romance .. but i am not okay as they treated each other as bloodrelated-siblings and later they have romance and suddenly they really aren't blood relatives .. they still treated each other as blood siblings at the beginning that's pretty disgusting for me). Maybe what i am watching is brutal and not morally right in my point of view but as long as i am enjoying it then i should be fine. The problem with incest is that it repulses me.

Honestly that chapter was really rough.I paraphrased it as well.The way he goes about doing it is way worse but I'll spare you that lol. I'm used to dark fantasy(Although wouldn't say it is) so that's hardly the worst passage I've read.
I think my major gripe is that incest needs to involve some kind of sexual relationship where in Anime that's rarely the case so calling it incest is mislabeling it rather strongly. Don't really know what the word is for what anime does though but feel one shouldn't call it incest.

Isn't that why they say "he/she is a sis or brocon"? I don't particularity care about incest, I am a single child and incest to varying degrees has been practiced all over the world throughout history so your reaction to it is highly constructed based on personal experience and cultural upbringing. Take Oriemo for example, the only things that were annoying is that the sister was too harsh and that they pussied out at the ending, which made all the guys choices to reject every girl stupid.

As a guy who has 2 sisters, I've got to say I usually laugh it off and just can't take it seriously. I didn't realy mind OreImo, think I rated it a 7 or something around that after all. The fact that Kirino was a real bitch was the worst about it though. But the incest I didn't really mind.
The toothbrushscene in nisemonogatari was probably the creepiest thing I ever watched but even with that I laughed it off and couldn't stop laughing once it was over.
If it was for something like described above I obviously wouldn't be able to do that but with anime being the way it is, just showing romcom/teasing stuff it's really not a big deal.

The last show that i watched that contained such content was nisemonogatari that i didn't drop and i somehow barely survived.
I don't think it will change my mind since i personally find with such content disgusting fantasy or not doesn't matter, whether it'd be incest or just incestuous tension(Numy is right .. i can't also find the right term for it) but i will give that show a shot.
