I barely remember it but I do believe I rooted for Chiwa, but that was one of the 1st shows I watched so I didn't know about the childhood friend handicap. well, it was something that seemed interesting that was mentioned earlier so I thought I'll give it a try. I would like to see how it ends and how things develop. That last bit you wrote though, darn lol. Regardless, Chiwa fighting! ~ So no one likes the whiteheaded girl ? Plenty of people do, seeing as how Yukarin is the only reason to watch Oreshura.
And lolicons, or crimers in the words of Harem, are easily the worst, because it is actually sick, getting off to little girls like that.

+ Show Spoiler [Black Bullet] + Yesssss. Kagetane and Kohina make their reappearance finally. My fave pair so far. The song that she sang was so cute. This gado guy annoys me but his initiator is pretty cool with the japanese armor and sword.. Looks like next episode will have some more action with Rentaro and Kagetane finding Pleiades. Can't wait.

How many times do I have to tell you that I don't like cute? I like adorable. BIG DIFFERENCE. Unlike cute, adorable has nothing to do with being a lolicon.

I've tried explaining the essence of minicon many-a-time, Elem. People just don't understand. They may as well say we're into beastality as well.

I think I'm using cute the way you're using adoreable because I'd say what I wrote about you has nothing to do with lolicons as well. When I think about cute I think about the german word "süß" (direct translation: sweet) and that's pretty much the meaning of cute for me. A puppy, or a baby would be fitting.
So basicly, if that's the case and I'm using the word in a wrong way... you'll probably have to keep doing so for a long time until I start using the word adorable instead. Is "cute" actually the female version for "handsome" or something like that?

I've tried explaining the interchangeability of "cute" and "adorable" many-a-time to Elem... but he's Swedish.

i just found out pingpong has manga (was so random) and i finished reading it >_> so i just spoiled myself for the next episode T_T

the funny thing is that if you are coming from asia cultural background, the word 'cute' for us is completely different from the english meaning of 'cute'.
I never know why girls over here like it when you call them 'cute'.

how do asians from asia define cute. I'm from an asian cultural background but the US has probably changed how i use the word cute. I usually use it in a sense that your physical appearances look good in a modest / innocent way since female asian idols are always categorized into cute or sexy most of the time....

I don't know. The Japanese "cute" can be used for adorable as well.

I never know why girls over here like it when you call them 'cute'. it allows you to compliment them without sexualizing them?
also adorable and cute are almost the same thing
sweet seems more like something that would be categorized by behaviors and actions

Mmm, in my opinion cute can include adorable but is not necessarily always referring to someone/something adorable. It's like, if something/someone is adorable then you can call them cute, but on the other hand, if you call someone/something cute it doesn't always mean that they're adorable, it can just be referring to someone who is attractive.
|
Adorable is like a more extreme version of cute, to me. But regardless, the words are extremely similar, and Elem is a lolicon anyway, so....
|
Hmm for me the main difference of using cute and adorable.
Cute is referring to the person as well attractive and innocent in some ways that is especially nice to watch. Just think about watching a cat that doing nothing. Adorable means that the person actions and/or attitude are quite entertaining to watch. Just think about watching a playful puppey.
Of course both can be used in the same manner. At least that's what i observed.

Compliments on someone's physical appearance doesn't have to be sexual to begin with. It almost seems like a western mindset that it must. There are tons of things that i can say looks good but not feel any sexual attraction to.

I'd say it's similar in German with "süß" and "niedlich" @Toad
And what's with the lolicon hate? Why would you care what others fap to (inb4 lolican = pedo = child rapist etc.)?
