Kujo was much more popular than him and this all happened when they were younger. The chances of something like that happening is unlikely. If Kaori herself isn't having problems with him and thinks of him as a special friends (she even says it), why is he trying to create more problems instead of just being there for her? In Kujo's case, she never said those words (I believe) so two different situations yet the MC doesn't realize that. Still, I'm sure he'll come around to realize it in the next episode seeing as its the last one. I guess I'll miss hearing Fujumaya-san said about 50 times per episode lol.
