I don't know, having read the books my expectations are pretty low, and you've probably seen Southlight complain about how slow the early parts of series are, not to mention lack of character development. On the other hand, they look like they are really pushing the pace to get to possibly at least the end of the first part of the long novel stories, and that's when the series starts getting much more interesting. I am kind of torn, on one hand I want to see more funnies like short story, and on the other hand I want plot and character movement, and this show is not about to give me a season like Fumoffu solely for my enjoyment  On the note of fumoffu, FMP over in less than a week! | ||

I actually like the parts with Ryner and Ferris better than Sion =X. Too much talking with Sion, need more pew pew and hack hack with our heroes. | ||

I like the concept of DenYuuDen. The stereotypical-ness of the lead characters drove me nuts, though, and whilst Ryner is interesting, the novels were too slow (and stereotypical) for me to continue to trudge on. I prefer things happening, as there're lots of things to read and I'm not willing to spend days reading build-up, unless I have a guarantee of some sort that the build-up is worth it. All that said, I'm still following the anime. As I said, the concept is interesting, Ryner is intriguing, and the anime is going at a significantly faster pace than the novels. | ||

That being said, I'm fine with slow pacing. Some people are pretty annoyed with Shiki's pacing, but I'm personally fine with it. My problem comes from when the show is pretty much ambiguous with what it wants to be. In that regard, DenYuuDen is basically the Angel Beats of the Summer season. Interesting premise, and a show that keeps me hooked, but has massive, massive flaws in pacing and a good balance between drama and believability. Now hopefully I've learned from my Angel Beats experience and won't be as incendiary as I was then :< | ||

i dont get haruhi at all! i dont know how to "like" it...... it has nothing special =.= lucky star is just weird so i dropped it after 2 ep. K-on is fun bc at least they have a goal. | ||

In K-On, they have a "goal" (with the band and what not), but that is pretty much on the backseat to what the show is about. The show is just about Highschool Japanese girls who are in a music club together, and the show just follow's around their daily lives. In that sense, Haruhi is similar. Its about the daily lives of Highschool students who are in a club together. Except I think the characters/plot/setting of Haruhi is infinitely more interesting, and not mundane like K-On. | ||

And yeah, if I want a manipulative bitch, I wouldn't need to look beyond Izaya. If I wanted an manipulative bitch that's actually awesome, Hagihara Shiogi all the way. Animate Zaregoto series pleaseeee. FMP is KyoAni's worst selling series because it is KyoAni though, if we put the popularity to some other production studio I recall the numbers are still stacked quite favorably for FMP. | ||
