Not sure I wanna be recommending people IS. You could put harem shows to romcom, drama or whatever, I don't think it needs its own category. But to be honest, I'm not sure if it's even worth the effort to make a new chart. The /a/ chart is pretty good, you could just replace and add some stuff if you must and be done with it. Meh maybe I'm thinking too hard, just keep it under romance is fine and all Well what about shows where the harem aspect is kinda secondary? Like Highschool DxD. Its mostly an action show but the dude also has a harem.. If you say it's mostly an action show then it obviously should be in the action category.
I've deicded not to prettify it since I'm too lazy, but I will be adding a new "Mainstream" category and will be moving some stuff to it.

I think it's the best course of action considering all the mixed opinions on shows like Geass, SnK and the like, but there will be more awesome stuff like One Piece under it too since... One Piece is as mainstream as it gets, even if it is highly regarded by most people here.

I want the polls to get as many votes as possible so I'll wait until tomorrow to close them. Afterwards I'll finish the list.
Also, I plan on creating a 'Movie' section for original movies such as Spirited Away etc. There's a distinct lack of movies on the list and this should solve the problem.

I realized I've watched quite a few anime movies. @__@
For movies, here's a list of things that I think should qualify that aren't on the list
Umae Sou Da Na
Colorful
Wolf Children
Porco Rosso
Redline
Millennium Actress
Obviously you don't have to include all of them. Also, I'd refrain from putting more than like....two Ghibli films since the only anime movies most people know are Ghibli films.

the not-movie thing from eve no jikan is on the list. Probably take that out, mix it together with the movie and list it under movies if we get a movie section?

Yeah I noticed the moment I came back and looked at my post.
I would say put the Evangelion movies on there, but considering it's part of a franchise, people would probably end up watching it after they finished Evangelion at some point (also this is TLADT, so mentioning Eva more than once would probably end up getting somebody killed).

5 Centimeters per Second is there.
Personally that's the only one that matters. Hoshi no Koe was pretty good, but I wouldn't add it to the list, and I wasn't a huge fan of the Promise We Made in Our Early Days.
Hoshi Wo Ou Kodomo was like Shinkai trying to a Miyazaki and not quite doing it, and then Garden of Words was...it was kind of eh. It's the usual visual porn from Shinkai but there's just something missing from the film. Probably emotion. >.>
Iono, at least in 5 Centimeters per Second, the visual really helped tell the story, and that's why the film is probably his best IMO, whereas a lot of his other stories it's kind like "look at how pretty I am" and the story itself is kind of whatever.
