What did they do to Yura's voice? =/ Aside from Horie Yui and Sugita, the voice selection for important roles have been rather dubious in Mago.

Edit: I figured it out! Fumiaki reminds me of Renton! No wonder I hate him.

Episode 2 of Sengoku Basara 2 is pretty badass. The Engrish actually made it better.

On another note, the animes that I'll be 100% watching this season looks like: -Sengoku Basara 2: You can't beat a GAR show that has the support of Pizza Hut. You just can't. *Cues fast food jokes* -Legend of the Legendary Heroes: Ep 1 was comedy, but ep 2 and 3 look really good. -Shiki: This show is not only visually beautiful, but it's damn engaging too. Otherwise there's this giant gray area of Seitokai Yakuindomo, Mitsudomoe, Amagami SS, HotD, Nurarihyon, Occult Gakuin, and Ookami-san. From the looks of things, Mitsudomoe will get the ax after the next episode, and same with Seitokai since I'm finding the show just stupid now. HotD, Occult, Amagami, Nurarihyon, and Ookami-san are the "wait and see" shows. They're all so borderline, though Ookami-san looks like a keeper because I personally find it pretty fun.

I didn't watch Sengoku Basara 2 yet, because I didn't watch the first one, but I do agree with Densetsu no Yushaa no Densetsu and Shiki. Those are my favourite of the season so far. Everything else is just not on the same level.

I read the manga of rabbit doubt and high school of the dead and thought they were pretty good so i think i'd be happy to branch out a bit, although not hugely into the horror style of animes

I remember over a year ago when they'd actually be seeing downtime fairly often, heh, but what's so win about the new interface? All a quick look suggest are cosmetic changes, I kind of like the UI more compact actually. EDIT - Custom background is kind of cute. Legend of Legendary Heroes won't be able to keep up the kind of stuff from ep 2 and 3 barring some really clever way of handling plot, people should get prepared to be disappointed. What is it that people are seeing from Ookami-san that I am not seeing? My current take is honestly something along the lines of 'Otohime looks cute and turtle reference is funny and I have Kawasumi Ayako in maid, I might be able to watch episode 4 without being too horribly bored'

Removes a lot of headaches and repetitive things. Makes everything more streamlined, which is a big plus in my book. When Legend of the Legendary Heroes turns bad, then I can rant on it. Until then, I'm enjoying it XP Ookami-san is... hmm... It's just good mindless fun. I like it as a guilty pleasure-type show much more than any other show of the season XD

I am surprised Southlight's complaints hasn't set this thread in a more negative mood about that series, but maybe people see 'novel' and proceed to ignore ![]() and hmm guilty pleasure of the season...think I don't even aim on watching anime for that, have enough trashy novels to read~

Until they realized that volumes 2-10 are the same as volume 1. Or so I presume, because it was certainly the same up to 4!

Just that writer is still sacrificing character development for lightning fast event blitz and tossing out random reasons why some characters are overpowered. It is good to finally see explanations why Luke could hold out on his own against just about every single opponent he has ever faced. Well, things got a fair bit more interesting at the end of DenYuuDen and at the start of DaiDenYuuDen though. I am actually pretty much done with what I can find of DenYuuDen, Owari no Chronicle next~

is anyone here attending Otakuthon in Montreal in like a month? kinda feel like going but I'm not that big of an otaku and going alone is pretty fail -_- @bearbuddy I know that's what they were going for but it felt more like a #6 fanservice special than an episode that helped the story progress. not that I hate Abe Bunmei w/e you wanna call him but yeah, had I known 4 minutes of the episodes were about curry I'd probably would've skipped them (and I looooooove curry, don't get me wrong)

Legendary Heroes looks pretty good at the moment, and I will probably end up finishing it along with Amagami. Not at all sure about HSotD since I'm only watching it for amusement at how bad it is ;_;

I feel that curry was quite symbolic. There are only two people that called him Fukiami and they're also the same people that fed him curry. As far as we're concerned, they're also the only two people that Fukiami wanted to get close to. I can see the curry theme reoccur at the end of the arc, cause I don't see good things happening to Mikaze (death flag is waving quite vigorously), and Fumiaki would probably have one last contemplative plate or something like that. Also, he used chopsticks instead of a spoon to eat curry, which, as he explained came from his aversion of people only liking him due to his psychokinetic ability as a child. These people called him Bunmei instead of his actual name. Lastly, the curry actually helped in the passage of time, i.e. Fukiami continually went to the shop to get curry, and we can see his relationship with Mikaze develop when she gave him an extra pudding. I thought this was a nice touch before the whole tour, cause anime has the tendencies to jump the gun before any relationship development. And yes, I fucking love curry.

Bungaku Shoujo was good. Since I All this talk about DenYuuDen sucking in the future is kinda depressing. The first three episodes were just so good... Amagami SS seems very hit and miss. I don't care much for the current arc or for the shy and fat girls, but the other three arcs show promise. After reading the manga though, the main character seems reeeally weird. It's like he's perpetually horny. I guess it is based off of a dating sim though... Shiki has the potential to be the show of the season, but as far as I'm concerned, they're not quite there yet. The first episode was straight out boring. The second episode starting developing the plot and was a vast improvement over the first episode. I expect great things in the future. + Show Spoiler [Why must the Internet do this. T_T] + ![]() ![]() ![]()

@Sweet[tears]: Just go! I had tons of fun at AX, it was my first convention and it was a blast :D And the reason why Occult sucks is because they're falling into the Angel Beats trap of trying to cram everything possible into a short series, and they're doing it really, really directly, with monologues and all that. I'm slowly losing the plot in this chaos. And this time, there's no TK to distract me ;___; I miss you already.... Speaking of TK, I can't remember whether this video was posted in this thread or not, but it deserves a repost anyway. Best moment in the Kitamura panel haha
