KLK is the definition of over the top, it showed what to expect in ep01, and delivered all the way to the end. Just saying these kind of anime are really rare, so enjoy them when you can, and if you dont, well, its not like there are 3-4 of em each season... sadly. for me, after Log Horizon ran out of steam in the later stages, KLK took AotS easily, both seasons it ran in, but i am really happy that Jojo will give it a run for its money next season.
as a good rule of thumb: if you need to force yourself to watch it, it either is not for you or you have more pressing matters at hand, i know i would call 90% of anime shit left and right if i were to sit through them, but i wisely consider my own taste xD
I didn't watch all that anime between the two seasons that KLK aired, but it's kind of sad that I might have to say that KLK was among the best of the two seasons from what I watched, and I gave this shit like a 6/10.

Eeh, I don't know what's really over the top about it compared to many other anime. Maybe the outfits and some of the blatantly sexual references? None of the action scenes were really "over the top" in ways that haven't been done before.

I agree, it was being over the top for the sake of being over the top alot of the time atleast thats how I felt, I atleast never really got into it the way I had expected to. I keep saying this but the show had absolutely no oomph, despite trying very very hard.

Eh, I mean I guess, but you compare it to a lot of other anime and you realize that comparatively it's fairly normal/tame.
I would never say it's shit (aside from some of the early episodes being pointless and boring), just that it's not high on my list.
Maybe over the top is not quite the right term (if you want over the top try kojima's MGS1: Twin snake cutscenes and MGS4 to certain extend). The creator of KLK just go all out for the show, see Redline for another example. I'm just gonna call it ectactic lol

But really the actions in MGS2 is ok like. Original MGS1 is fine too is just that twin snake is something else lol

T'was not a few good seasons for me.
KLK wasn't really that good, no shame on giving it a 6/10, I think I gave it a 5 but should probably upgrade it to a 6 if I look at all the stuff that I have scored at 5. It probably was better than stuff like Strike the blood (another 5 for me from that season). No idea what was in Fall 2013... except for Monogatari and everyone knows what I think about that :3
WCW was pretty amazing this season imo but other than that, yeah I didn't really have anything I liked a lot either. Oh and Log Horizon. No way KLK was better than those 3.
kk i get it! sometimes the spark does not carry over, i should be glad i can like KLK as much as i do, since i will never understand whats so great about mushishi (was really disappointed after i watched the awesome natsume before, and this should have been supposedly similar) or bakemonogatari (cancerous cameramovement alone make HotD like 1000x better xD) of course i finished neither (not even beyond ep05) because i dont like to torture myself!
speaking of which, i just leave this superior OST version here and come back another time!
