The first movie shown is '5 cm per seconds'. Is it worth the time or am I better off sleeping? I've seen Howl's moving castle and Spirited away, and I liked them, but then again I was quite a few years younger when I saw them.

Don't even go near FFS basically. 25+years and ongoing, the mofo only able to released 12 volumes (well he kinda layout all the past/future events of the main storyline in a chronological list at the back of every book) and granted the books are nearly in A4 size. I wouldn't want to talk about FFS since about 6years ago if i didn't see some GKs of KoG TA, Bang Doll and LED back in some shops years ago. I'm pretty sure that they took away a small piece of my soul. These breathtakingly beautiful demons that wear high heels. Basically you get to see some 'collectors' who buy the garage kits but they hire people to complete the models for them lol. Very expensive stuffs and requires overwhelming amount of effort to complete one (you are talking almost £700 for that LED and if you are quick you can finish one in 1 month otherwise about 3 months for a general person with a 9-5 job). But luckily (or not) they managed to release IMS (something way less gruesome than GK) for the MH so owning some MH models are slightly more affordable for the fellow commoners (like me). And ya most of the GK models can't really move because you need something to support the vertebrate of the mech, there are 2 1/100 'green/orange demons' that are 200+cm high, imagine that. But ya the gothicmade versions that Sent linked defo not my cup of tea but the original MHs are so damn sick (again I dont want to drop pics here). For the anorexic part, FFS is basically a shoujo drew by a (crazy) dude with multiple fetishes. The legs, collar bone, ribs, pelvic of the Fatimas are simply.... Well the thing is that I bet anyone who reads the book would want a Fatima. Who doesn't want be a knight in FFS ffs. Typing on phone is so painful... The original MHs are classy, but I'd go with stuff like the following any day of the week before them: ![]() or ![]() Chubby>Anorexic

But this FSS design talk reminds me of a rather common failed-troll topic on /m/, comparing Nagano's FSS designs to Syd Mead's designs in Turn A Gundam. I'll spare you guys from copy-pasted quotes that make Nagano look like an arrogant crazy person (which he definitely is). But onward to what I actually want to talk about, take for example, the simple line art for the Turn A Gundam itself: ![]() Most people, when they first see it, look at that and go "wtf is that thing, thats a Gundam?" And it does look remarkably different most Gundams. It isn't nearly as flashy (or gaudy in a negative light) as other Gundam designs, much less MH designs. But what makes the Turn A an outstanding design isn't found in just looking at it standing there. Its the actual mechanical design behind it, and actually seeing it move in animation. And the Turn A just looks absolutely beautiful in animation. A very high amount of people, who were originally skeptical of Turn A's design before watching, have their minds changed by finishing. Take a look at some of the mechanics actually behind it: + Show Spoiler + The design of its knee, for example, gives one of the best actually possible bends of almost any design out there. It can practically bend 180 degrees backwards, while remaining faithful to the design, and not breaking the laws of physics. Its elbow is similarly as good. And as an aside, if any of you Gunpla fans want to get your hands on the absolute highest quality MG you possibly can, get MG Turn A, as its incredible. tl;dr, I've begun to highly value how something actually looks in animation, and the mechanical details behind it, over flashy display pieces like Motar Heads.

First half was pretty shit. A bunch of pointless fights, no story/character development, all the characters were 1-dimensional or one-offs (or both), though the action and comedy was pretty good. I considered dropping it after the first ~8 episodes, but finished out of obligation/boredom/peer pressure. I'm fairly glad I did. It got a lot better during the second half, the characters rounded out a bit, the action cranked up to more entertaining levels, and the plot actually moved. I was really getting into it by the end. Still, not the best thing I've ever watched, but if the whole show was like that it might have been up there. Worth finishing, but it's not one that I'm going to obsess over and think about all the time. p gud soundtrack thou

I was promised over the top action and it was delivered.

Yeah, I thought the "DON'T LOSE YOUR WAY" meme was getting played out before I watched it, but now I have that damn song stuck in my head. I would, however, watch an entire show of Gamagoori and Mako.
